  • This is now the highest rating I have ever given on CT! Decanted for over an hour at a NYC Steakhouse. Beautiful nose, long finish, not quite as full bodied as I was expecting. My 2nd Grange in over 30 years of drinking wine and it didn't disappoint! I had bought this for a friends 60th a few years ago and had to miss the party due to Covid. I finally got to share this bottle with him and his wife a year and half later and we loved it. Good thing we decanted as it had a fair amount of sediment.

  • 17012023 - Aussie themed lunch and bottle from generous bro Hann Sze. Captivating nose - filled with opulent black fruit, layered with chocolate, mocha, creme brulee and baking spices. Palate is layered and dense, continued to evolve over lunch. Energetic, muscular & fleshy throughout the palate till finish. Profound depth with rounded mouthfeel with hint of cloves. Will be a 100 pointer if give it more time

  • Tasted blind. Bucket list checked off. For me, this doesn't soar to the heights of the other great wines I have tasted but comes awfully close to the apex. Intense flavors of berries, spice, pepper, and earth to go with American Oak flavors of dill, vanilla bean, and a touch of caramelization. Tannins still quite unrelenting but improves about 2 hours post opening. Despite all this intensity, there is an understated, silky, polished slant to the wine that I admire.

  • Dark, brooding, inky killer drop
Eucalyptus, dark fruits. Some oak and herbaceous notes.
Massive bodied. Long finish. Grippy and a little greasy.
This wine is Killer!!!! It needs some age but it will get to an even better place. Thanks Serge!

  • Dark, brooding, inky and unctuous. The 2013 Grange delivers a stunning and sultry nose of blackberry and hits the palate with black olive, smoked meat, blackberries, tar and a hint of tobacco. Oak was ever prevalent and gave this wine a seriousness and warmth not found in lighter and fruitier Syrahs.
