Cassis, blackcurrant, dark plum, fig, spice, earthy notes and pepper. The palate is super elegant with dark restrained fruit, Christmas cake spices soft velvety tannins, persistent mid-palate, everything so well integrated , super clean, spicy and slightly sparkly finish.

Great drinking! Medium bodied long length, lovely nose , beautiful integration of berries and oak. Drank with a rare fillet of beef. Perfect combination. Will obviously hold for a considerable period of time, but drinks beautifully now.

Mount Mary Tasting - Langtons (Virtual with samples sent): Classic Bordeaux. Cassis. Blue/black fruited. Great structure. A sense of good fruit but tightly woven. Young but with lovely complexity showing. Leather, pencil, tobacco. Universal WOTN (inc winemaker) in small MM tasting.

At the Mount Mary Dinner, Stokehouse Q. Another delicious Quintet, this wine had a deep crimson colour with a lovey nose of cassis, dark cherry and plum, dark chocolate and violet with cedar touches. The palate is smooth and midweight fanning out with great complexity and persistence. A young wine with plenty of development ahead this is very classical stuff from this vineyard.
