  • Brought to last night's double-blind wine group dinner at Two Chefs. Most of the guys thought it was an older Bordeaux. Because of its age -- 20 years -- I didn't decant until an hour before dinner because I wasn't sure how it would hold up by the time it was actually poured. It did hold up but in hindsight, I could have done it an hour or two earlier to let the nose show more. I held a bit in one glass through the rest of dinner, and noticed at the end that it was beginning to smell more like an old burg.

  • Excellent. Great balance of raspberry pinot fragrance and depth and sweetness on the palate.
