Lunch Bistro Rex: Deep scarlet red with some bricking. No lack of ripeness to Morot's wines and this is no exception, with ripe black berry fruits and licorice on the nose. Lucious palate, with enough earthy gamey-ness at the finish for balance. Thank you Ray 18.

Cork, 13% alc. Medium red, tending to orange at the rim.
Lovely varietal pinot aroma. A intriguing mix of fruity, floral and sous bois. Raspberry, vanilla, a spicy overtone, and a hint of straw mulch and sweet tobacco. Star anise in the background.
Nice flow through the mouth. Sour edged fruit on entry, kittens tongue tannins through the middle, then finishing clean with a reasonably long raspberry aftertaste.
Opinion: Tidy VFM Burgundy. Seems to have more to give with time. Unlikely to scale the heights to greatness, but an honest wine nonetheless. Holds up well over a week open.

good red fruit and floral/spice nose; medium body, just ripe cranberry, earth, spice and floral notes; menthol/eucalyptus towards the finish
