Community Tasting Notes (6) Avg Score: 89.8 points

  • PopnPour, tasted over 3 hrs and day 2
    -med dark red, minimal clearing at edge
    -mild funk, dark berry liqueur, stone
    -med acidity, med weight and density, dark berry fruit and earthiness with minimal if any '04 trait, med chalky tannins and decent length; silkier texture and oak peeks out on day 2
    -less advanced than most '04s I've tasted in the past year; this is minimally impacted by the '04 trait and the underlying dark fruit Teuron characteristics are apparent; it might still have a couple years of upside to add some more complexity and resolve more of the tannic structure

  • Just what a great burgundy should be. Very drinkable now. Perfect with roast chicken

  • Light ruby. Delicate wine. Subdued red fruit, earth, forrest floor and tea. Charming and balanced. To my taste mature and ready to drink. No need to decant. No 04 greenness at all. Very enjoyable.

  • Light ruby color. Perfumed nose of strawberry, forest floor and violet. Delicate raspberry flavor with moderate acidity and cedar on the finish. Some earthiness and truffle as it lingers on the palate.

  • Day 1 undecanted: very pale red (not pink) & clear color; pleasant bouquet, but nothing poweful and long lasting like premier cru chambolle-musignys I love; light body and light acidity (lost my notes); Day 4 still very pale but having turned more brickish; still equally clear; brief bouquet of blueberry and earth shifting to mushroom; very slight acidity; short in the mouth with little to no fruit, but still very pleasant;
