  Wine was a little off-balanced for this premier cru. Ripe red fruits did not have enough tannin and structure to support it. Not worth the money.

  Decent burgundy at this young age, but for the money, not worth it. This was tasted side by side with the 2016 Kistler Russian River Piniot at a dinner, and everybody preferred the cheaper Kistler. The acidity is very high, but the minerality and earthiness is minimal. This reminds me more of a Oregon pinot than an old world Burgundy. I would not spend this much money (around $80 USD/bottle) for this wine. Maybe $40-50 at the very most, but even that is pushing it.

  Faiveley tasting at the domaine. Candied fruit, cherry, minerals and spice. Delicate and fruit forward.
