Monthly Tuesday group "The Dead Sparrow": Bordeaux vs Bolgheri: Beautiful and expressive bouquet with dark and red berries and good herbs and spices. On the palate juicy red and dark berries, laurel, beautiful oak, a slight touch of sweetness, good acidity and round, sticky tannin, Beautiful and complex wine which will improve over the next 5 - 8+ years. 92 - 93+

PnP, and took a few hours to open up. Classic and elegant, with notes of ripe blackberry, black currant and plum supported by hints of cigar box, oak, and tar. Drinking terrifically now, and could improve further in the next few years.

Lovely wine, opened nicely with no decant quite balanced dark cool fruits, oak. A bit hotter and more oaky after 2 hours prob because it warmed up a little. A big boisterous wine with fairly high alc and stuffed with dark fruit like a Christmas cake so temp is key ideally enjoy at 18c.

Had this wine two years ago and today its even better. I recommend several hours of decanting.
Full bodied with dark fruits and will certainly improve with cellaring another 5 years minimum to round off the edges. It will last and most likely improve for decades.
I have had this wine with many friends that are not wine-geeks and everybody loves it.

Red, black and blue fruit, coffee, alongside the typical Margaux soft violet floral notes - very pretty and enticing. Surprisingly open for business.
