Double decanted for sediment. Darker but also bricked in color. A bit more masculine, rustic, and earthy than the Truchot. Plenty of dark fruit. Also with a touch of brown sugar. Some mild residual tannins.

A lovely bottle of Burgundy, especially given all the negative comments and publicity about the vintage. Firm, nicely balanced, demure but plenty of ripeness in this context. Fully mature but not headed over the hill anytime soon.
