  • Deep purple color. Still very young but super complex notes of barnyard, horsesaddle, cassis, some dark flowers, smoke, beef blood, graphite, crushed rock, tobacco, leather, just overall super layered and complex. Full bodied and powerful, but with excellent finesse at the same time, there is medium-high tannin that is super silky. Long finish with great complexity.

  • Sehr dunkle Farbe.

  • No doubt this is the real deal but it's painfully young. I just had the 2018 recently and it was far more approachable. This has so much game, beef blood, iron. The density is off the charts. But it is so well balanced and has so much to give. I would say peaks in 15 years. Definitely hold if you have any less than a case.

  • OMG.
I do not think I have ever tasted a syrah that tastes more syrah than this. This is like drinking raw game mixed with blood.
Quite different from my previous vintages; 2011, 2010, 2006 and 1998.
Do you want to try how a real syrah tastes? Then this is the wine for you. This wine probably has the potential to score a 100 pts.

  • This is monumental juice. Yes it is tightly coiled now but with some air you get a sense of all it has to give in the coming years. I have no doubt that this will be one of the best clape vintages of all time. Best to hold for 5 years but if you want to see what it is all about at this stage give it 2 hours in r
    Decanter minimum. 96-98.
