Wafts of aromatic interest from the Carmenere and Cab Franc (cedar and licorice). Overdone? Probably, but with a supreme plushness of texture. Syrup and balsam. Thick and heavy dark and red fruit, bitter dark chocolate, persistent and hyper full bodied, but somehow not cloying and paired excellently with a bavette steak. Idiosyncratic, but wonderful.

Dark fruits, bell pepper and minerals on the nose. Beautifully polished tannins and great balance on the palate. Surprisingly ready to drink after 2 hours in the decanter.

칠레 와인계의 (현실적인) 끝판왕.
칠레 와인을 저평가하는 사람들이 많은데 그런 분들에게 보여드리고 싶은 와인.
다만, 역시 칠레는 칠레다.
노즈에서는 칠레 특유의 피라진, 즉 피망향이 난다.
그렇다고 피망향이 기분나쁘게 나는 것은 아니고 꽤나 고급스럽게 난다.
블랙 커런트 류의 검은 과실향이 달달하게 느껴지는 것도 기분좋다.
팔렛에서는 바디감이나 탄닌이 상당한 편이다.
그런데 재미있는 건 이게 꽤나 실키하게 들어간다.
맛 자체가 달콤하진 않은데 달달한 향때문에 카카오 99% 초콜릿을 먹는 기분도 든다.
