Great bottle. More like a typically sweet wine than previous Moulin Touchais I have had, but none the worse for it. Immensely enjoyable, not cloying, lovely acidic backbone.

It's nice to open a bottle of 22-year old wine and find such freshness and balance. Hard to know what to expect with Moulin Touchais - it can be a dessert wine but often it's less sweet and better with cheese, like this time. We thoroughly enjoyed it but it's not a top vintage. Or perhaps we pulled the cork too soon...

Closed and subtle, some petrol, Riesling like scent here. Racy acidity, green streak to it. Lots of buttery and gentle creamy spice flowing through the palate. Lovely right now. Pretty complex too. Much better as it sits in the glass. A quiet over-achiever.
