New Years 2024 : A perfect ending to a glorious night of food and wines. An obviously mature Sauternes. Typical honey suckle overlying ripe fruit (orange/tangerine) "Soft and smooth" mouth feel, plus a darker hue suggests this has some age.

2023 New Years Eve: Pop and pour. Definitely mature given the color and the complexity. Classic aged Sauternes. Orange rind, baking spices, good acidity. There is a bit of alcohol noted.

I typically find Suduiraut pretty spotty and not always consistent. This is not as good as their 2001, but quite a bit better than their 1988! Honeyed stone fruit, some beeswax and some Meyer's lemon dominate this Sauternes. I would prefer a little more acid, as this is leaning slightly on the sweet side, but still a very tasty treat! Definitely a fitting finish to a grand get-together1

(Château Suduiraut) Medium dark orange color; quince paste, lime and baked kumquat nose; mature baked citrus, quince, kumquat, mineral and tart lemon palate; medium-plus finish
(Château Suduiraut) Dark golden amber color; lovely, honeyed apricot nose to begin with, that added coconut and butter as it opened; yummy, rich, honeyed apricot and sweet lemon palate with good acidity; medium-plus finish 93+ pts. (lovely with foie gras mousse w/fig course)

Beautiful, ripe red apple, ripe pear, caramel, tangy aftertaste. Long finish, hautingly capturing. Still lots of life and some fruit.

New Years Eve (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): VEry dark gold color. Drank a small glass over 30 minutes. Spicy, creamed honey, orange cream, baked apple & brown sugar tart, and a bold character.
