Nose took hours to coax, I only got hints of dried flowers and potpourri, with the faintest of cherries too.
Medium to full bodied style Nebbiolo, still very tannic at this stage. I really appreciated the classical Barolo notes of tar and more red fruit on the palate, but it's still not perfectly come together at 7 years.
Simply did not prepare this well enough, bottle breathing for 4 hours just wasn't enough. I would definitely recommend waiting at least another 3 years or do a full decant to unlock this wine!

Medium garnet in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of red cherries, currants & strawberries with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes of roses, mint, dried herbs, tobacco, cocoa, leather, minerals & cedar in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of red sweet red cherries & strawberries & with herbs, spices & minerals. Lingering finish. Although it appears to be readily accessible at present with decanting & extending airing, but even at 7 years of age, it should continue to develop further with additional aging.

3rd and last bottle of this wonderful Barolo and very much worth $50. Very approachable young. Dried red cherry, black cherry, leather, tobacco, earthy dried rose. Elegant wine, great with food.

Grilled some NY Strip Steaks and this Barolo paired wonderfully. Although young it is very drinkable now. Fresh red cherry, tobacco, earthy notes, leather. Great acidity and finish.
