  Encore très jeune, mais se boit magnifiquement aujourd'hui. Au nez fruits noirs légèrement compotés et note ferrugineuse/minérale (un peu comme à Morgon). Bouche puissante qui évoque plutôt un grenache mais le vin, bien que marqué par le millesime, a su garder la fraîcheur qui lui apporte un bel équilibre. Grande vie devant lui.

  More stewed than the last bottle, tons of sediment also. Very marked by the vintage, with some earthy and brett infused aromas.

  And I thought 03 burgs were meant to be an alcoholic mess.. Though undoubtedly dark and dense, this was very enjoyable. Bramble, cassis and blackberry - this was a powerful wine yet was still lithe and vibrant with no noticeable flabbiness. Very enjoyable and for me, pushing 94 points... From what I hear, Gouges did great in '03. Guess I have to start hunting for the LSGs...
