Tasting at Domaine Henri Gouges (Nuits Saint George): Pop n pour in the cellar. This has some serious concentration and powerful mouth coating fruit. Grand Cru stature. For all the fruit richness and power this has excellent balance and approachability. Long, bright, complete finish. 93+

Burgundy, Day 2 (Beaune, France): Due to frost, 70% of the 2016 harvest was lost. The Vaucrains plot yielded a brutal 9 hl/ha. The low yields helped give this wine an extra level of intensity and complexity; this was easily my favourite wine of the tasting. Again the profile is more red-fruited but there's a firm earthiness on the nose as well. The palate is layered with both flavours of red fruit and more earthy elements.

92 for now but really really good (upside to 94 pts with time)... this has bold (if a little primary) flavor with beautiful red and blue fruits, great acidity and lift... exciting wine for sure, not quite up to the LSG of the same vintage (which is crazy good) but an awesome red burg... bravo Gouges

拉肚。四个gouge一起。意外的open。水果也不太困难。也有点铁锈。
