Ah so got the cork out in one piece! Almost soaked through, fair amount of sediment. Still has a great color, not too bricky.
Singing after 45 minutes or so in a aerated decanter Nose opened up to a floral bouquet Still had fruit flavor but tertiary took over. Almost meaty in a sense I'm newer to wines and haven't tried anything this old before A Happy Thanksgiving it was!

My first time trying a 70s mayacamas. The hype is real. This is what a great aged napa can be like. Very silky with weightless power while showing earth, dark fruit, tea and cedar. So delicate and smooth. I loved the fact that the wine did not have the typical napa ripeness. It was balanced, ethereal and precise.

(Mayacamas Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon) Slightly bricking dark red violet color; lifted, weedy, celery seed, cassis nose; mature, ripe red currant, raspberry palate; on the decline but with sweet fruit still, could go up to 5 years; medium-plus finish 91+ points
