color light garnet, smooth tannins, good acid, tertiary flavors starting to show, drank easily and smoothly. Old wines are always a surprise when one opens them, and this was a positive surprise.

Dinner with friends. PnP, no TN, from memory. Drunk next to Aurelio Settimo's Rocche Riserva of the same vintage . This took a while to open up and come together, but it did after a few hours and was lovely. From the color it looked younger than the Barolo and overall it was also less evolved, less complex and more on the fruit. But it drank very well: full-bodied but well balanced at the same time and with good depth of flavors. Already very nice to drink now, but with potential to improve even further.

Amazing color, with an almost black core framed by brilliant purple tones. No sign of amber or brown. Sweet-sour cherries dominate at first, packed in a mineral/iron frame, backed by a fascinating tone of camphor and cedar. Not much tertiary aromas. Medium to full bodied attack, lots of sweet-sour cherries, sweet fruit on the mid palate, high acidity lifts the wine into a light, and still powerful, finish. Long, aftertaste dominated by sour cherries and clear mineral tones (iron and earth). After 22 years this wine is stunningly young and unevolved. Very good to drink now, but I expected more mature tones and somewhat more complexity. For those having any bottles left in the cellar: keep 2-5 years, or drink with a "canard a l'orange" or something combining fat and acidity. Fascinating.

Left the bottle with open shoulder for an hour then decanted for another 30 min.
Dark opaque ruby with just some garnet rim.
The nose opens up with dried blackberry and cranberry and evolves during the evening showing some spice with hints of white pepper and nutmeg surronded by balsamic notes.
In the mouth it reveals full body, round and velvety but with a nice acidity still keeping vivd the wine. Well integrated soft tannins. Medium long.
This '99 Radici Riserva is in a very nice drinking window. Elegantly mature but not loosing strength.

DnP. Medium red, yellow edge, 5. Mature complex bouquet, dried roses, cask sweetness and more. Elegant harmonious on the palate, high-T, medium acidity, elegant and well balanced. Drink now - onwards bust no hurry. Hard to put into words but at a perfect point in its life right now.

Ruby red with slight clearing in the rim. This is an elegant wine that is medium bodied. Smokey, gamey on the nose with bracing acidity and tannin structure dominated by sour cherries. A food wine for sure as on its own it can be a little taut. Should continue to age for 5+ years.

Still incredibly dark and youthful, tons of body, smoke, and volcanic notes. More about pleasure than detail. Quite beautiful though with at least 10-15 years of great drinking ahead of it.

Not quite as interesting. Probably has gone past the peak. Still was a very good bottle. It's nose was a lot more muted than previously. Palate was rich and deep and dark.

Late Dec 2018 at an Italian restaurant: the waiter opens the bottle, pours and hands the first glass to try; purple red color; intense bouquet of cherries and wild strawberries; on the palate noble and well-balanced; but, hey what’s that? A light but, once detected, remarkable TCA-like (TCA = 2,4,6-trichloroanisole) smell is present; ask the waiter what he thinks; he tries and takes the bottle away; sadly, because I would have liked another sip since the TCA-like scent was light and had the hope it will fade away rather quickly (actually this happened to me in 30-40% of the TCA suspected cases); they don’t offered another Radici 1999 bottle; got a Montevetrano 2004 as substitute; not a bad exchange, see the tasting note ...
Feel really sorry for the wine and me: like Taurasi wines very much.

The ‘99 is really a great wine , in the drinking window but can last more 10 years easily. Super acidity considering the age and still present a nice gripping tannins. Very good

Opened on Easter. Herbaceous nose with notes of sage, orange peel, winter wood, and cherries. The texture is resolved and in harmony with the other components of the wine, such as the excellent acidity and wonderful tannins. This is an Aglianico that succeeded in achieving softened, enjoyable tannins. Dark red fruit core, with notes of herbs, volcanic soil, and a loving finish. Drinking at peak now.

Mature, fairly complex, moderately expressive nose. Alas the fruit is beginning to dry out - at least in this bottle - and the old-wood earthy astringency demands food. Wouldn't bet on ten years of future by this example. Excellent with osso buco, somewhat less so on its own.

Three hour decant, the nose exhibits a rare note of cinnamon along with bright cherry and leather. The palate is very integrated and in balance, with slightly angular acidity and fine grained tannins. This is a complex wine, with savory elements around every corner, including earth, leather and leaves. Dark cherry stands out on the fruit side. This is a full bodied wine with a great mouthfeel and a very long finish.

Still wayyyy young. Decanted an hour... lots of great fruit, tannins, a little dryish. Even showing as young as this, it was still very enjoyable and has balance. I believe this wine will be ready in 10 years.

Popped and poured. Deep garnet with very slight brown tones. Medium+ acid, medium+ body, and medium+ tannins but well integrated. This wine is still very primal, with big upfront dark cherry fruit, blackberries, and graphite. A hint of leather is starting to creep in here as well. Long finish. Everything is in balance and I would say that this wine is in its early to mid peak drinking window right now. It will be very interesting to see how this evolves over the next two or three years, but there is really no need to wait. Excellent wine with or without food.

This was a very good wine, still showing a lot of freshness and life. On open, it had a huge nose of leather, tobacco, violets and cassis. It was showing some soft tannins, but with a lot of alcohol and acidity.
I let it breathe in bottle for 5 hours before decanting and drinking at hour 6. Drinking 6 hours after open, the alcohol had become more integrated and the acidity had receded to a pleasurable level. Unfortunately, the wine had also become less aromatic, and didn't have much on the nose.
All told, it was a very pleasant wine and about on point for a $65 bottle. If your bottle has aged like mine, it has a few years left in it, but I don't see much reason to wait.

Birthday/Aglianico, 58 Port, ++ (My home): I liked this more than the group. Again, no way, blind, did I think this was 16 years old. Purple/ruby in color. The nose is black cherries, spice and slightly dusty. Juicy acidity on the palate. Lots of ripe black cherry fruit. Medium tannins. delicious.

(from memory) Dried cherries, licorice, menthol and warm earth on the nose, slight oxidation on the palate with strawberry, cranberry and cherry flavors, finish is long and complex with layered cherry and ripe berry fruit, well integrated tannins, balancing acidity, spice and earthy undertones

Dekantert, ganske mye bunnfall.

Clearly Italian--Focused acidity, well-integrated (if a bit dusty) tannin, sprightly with spice and minerality. No overpowering density, richness or overabundance of fruit, just an elegant red wine well suited for food.

Really developed with sweet red berries, plums, punch pralines, milk chocolate, sweet licorice, nutmeg and tobacco. Typical sour-cherry acidity and somewhat dry tannins. Well structured and very complex but this bottle may be e couple of years too old unfortunately. Still an outstanding wine though.

Tried it after the 2006 and this certainly gave me an appreciation for the salutary evolutionary effect of seven more years. The color is clear, medium (+) ruby fading to garnet on the rim. The nose is clean, medium (+) intensity with aromas of dried rose and tar. The nose is developed. The palate is dry, with medium (+) acidity and medium (+) to pronounced tannins. The alcohol is 13.5% and overall is well balanced.

Some Italians and a Saxum (Our home): Loved this wine. Drinking like an older Bordeaux. Ruby/purple in color. The nose has cigar box, cherries, plums and dust. On the palate, this is in a great place. Plenty of cherry fruit but also layers of complexity. This was slow-oxed for three hours. Nice balance. Long finish. Food friendly. No hurry but no reason not to open either.

Popped and poured. Brown around the edges - reminds me of the 1973 Troplong Mondeau I drank previously. Great bouquet and sweet / rich / alcoholic on the nose. Acidic, cassis, and dark fruit. Vegetables - asparagus and Brussels sprouts. Drinks like a higher priced wine.

Mastroberardino Taurasi Radici Riserva 1997-1999 (Winegate): The color is darker that the previous 2 but still evolved, closer to the garnet. The nose is clean, med+ intensity offering serious complexity, more animal notes with leather as well, black pepper, oak more apparent with mocca springled on top, cigar box, tobacco leaves, never ending perfume in the glass, developed. The wine is dry, med+ body and intensity, med/med+ acidity and med alcohol (13.50%), med to med+ tannins, balanced, dense with black currants and prunes, creme de cassis notes, fine texture although a bit drying tannins, it still feels young in the palate despite being 15 years old, long aftertaste. Outstanding quality, premium pice, drinking now but can hold more. Excellent value for money

Tasting 3 vintages of Mastroberardino Taurasi Radici Riserva at Wine Gate, Athens, Greece. This was the best of the trio by far. Dark garnet color. Complex nose with leather, barnyard, red cherry, fennel, sage and earthy minerality. Medium to full bodied with velvety tannins, vibrant fruit and a long aftertaste. At peak with at least another 5 years of life ahead. Excellent aged wine at a reasonable price.
Drinking nicely right now, very smooth and subtle. Not an experienced Taurasi drinker, but was looking forward to cracking one of these and drank with dinner -it was a good match. Medium bodied, ripe cherry, strawberry. Soft on the palate. Easy drinker.

Rubin med antydet avbleket kant. 2 timer i karaffel. Flawed?

This is a wine that one can get excited about. I must say that the cork on this bottle was streaked to the top, so be advised. That said, lovely, lovely ruby color with lots of clarity. Initial sip suggested sweetness, soon followed by ample acidity to balance. Smooth tannins seem well integrated. The most notable thing to me was the absolutely silky texture. A nice bottle.

Fascinating, feral nose of wet fur and smokey dark Aglianico fruit. On the palate, brambly raspberry and earthy fruit with substantial tannins that soften after an hour or so. Virtually no sediment, and no sign that this is at all over the hill - still deep purple with a tiny trace of amber at the edge. Continually interesting, more rustic than refined, but not in a bad way. Delicious and well-matched with hearty food.

100% Aglianico. Aged for 30 months in French barriques and Slavonian oak casks, and then further 3 years in bottles before release.
Moderately translucent, medium deep red color with pomegranate-to-dark cherry hue. Classic, developed Taurasi aromas of tobacco, crushed peppercorns, ripe (bot not sweet) fruit notes that range from dark cherries to red forest fruits and a hint of rustic, barnyardy funk. On the palate the wine feels quite light, delicate and even elusive, with an air of something mystic to it. There are obvious flavors of sour cherries to the fore, but also more nuanced notes of leather, smoky volcanic earthiness and some iron-tasting bloody notes. Although the mouthfeel is quite full-bodied and relatively mellow for a Taurasi, the structure is still there with moderate acidity and ample, but very resolved, fine and mellow tannins, that start to grip your gums only after sipping the wine for a while. The finish is very dry and savory with almost tart red fruit character, some sour cherry bitterness, pronounced, peppery spice and hints of tar and tobacco. The quite long aftertaste is very complex and thoroughly satisfying.
In a true Mastroberardino Taurasi style, this is a pretty austere effort - unlike so many other red wine styles of Southern Italy. The wine shows restraint, but it is not forbidding - instead it is sophisticated, complex and harmonious, tiptoeing that delicate line of elegance and modesty, yet still having a foothold on the elegance side. Initially the wine felt very plain and bare, but with some air the wine opened up very nicely, gaining more expression each moment. Drinking wonderfully now, so I really wouldn't age this vintage much longer - the fruit department is so delicate here you really don't want it to fade away with time. Let it breathe long enough and pair it with food that'll bring the fruit to the fore. Classy old-school stuff.
Beautiful nose of dusty dark cherries with notes of smoke and ash. This is clearly a lighter-bodied vintage of this great wine which is really elegant and complex with excellent smoky dark cherry fruit. The finish is very finely complex with those wonderful dusty minerals along with red spices and some volcanic ash. Lovely but I think ready now and will not improve further as I preferred the vigor of this wine a few years ago.

Very interesting wine. Opened up very quickly and was rustically excellent, full-bodied with fruit and a manageable tannin level. After about two hours open, the fruit dropped and the wine aged rapidly, getting dry and rather boring. The first 75% was great.

Taurasi wines are new to us- in Naples we were introduced by the restaurant staff who, when asked what wine they would select, unanimously said Taurasi was their wine of choice. Wonderful. Along with Barolo and Brunello, these are the royal wines of Italy.
This wine is incredibly balanced and although it's youthful brashness has given way to tender coos it is infinitely complex. Once dark fruit, herbaceous spice and tannin were the calling cards of this wine - now, in it's age, it has evolved into a delicate rendition of the former. Notes of candied cheery, allspice, juniper, sandalwood, violet, rose and charcoal all play well with the beautifully integrated tannins. Despite this wines prestige, it is still an incredible bargain - quality to price ratio is astonishing.

Drank with Rigatoni alla Basciola in a tomato cream sauce with sausage & chicken with a side of meatballs and parmigiano reggiano cheese. Decanted for over 2 hours before having with dinner. This opened up over time and was opened the most after 4.5 hours later. Early on the nose had dark cherries but also leather, and earthy elements. These receded a bit but were still in the mix. This had good tannins that relaxed over time and allowed more of the dark cherry flavors to emerge. Earthy notes and leather were also flavors on the palate. There was also a bitter note to the cherries but that was fine and The acidity is very good and the balance (after hours of being opened) was very good. There was some heat on the back end early on but that too receded over time as the wine gained more balance and opened up.

This is one of my favorite wines. The nose scream traditional Italian wine with loads of tobacco, herbs and some balsamico and nail polish. The mouthfeel is very pleasant excellent balance. Will proably last some more years, but it will be difficult for me to save the remaining bottles. An absolute steal for the €25/bottle I paid.
In the best sense rustic and ultra-traditional, dominated by dried herbs, earthy mineral, tobacco, dried tomato, balsamic and other non-fruity associations. Lovely chewable tannins that are starting to melt, prominent tobacco and volcanic minerality, all the way slightly green and herbaceous, very refreshing, honest and rurally sensual at the same time. This is the kind of wine that makes you grasp for words, it puts you up for bit of a struggle yet is so easy to enjoy, and leaves you with a deeper feeling of importance. Mastroberardino never lets you down.

„One Wine - Three Vintages“-Blind Tasting. Flight 5: Mastroberardino Taurasi Radici Riserva. We tasted 1997, 1999 and 2006. This flight probably was the most difficult to figure out blind as it showcased the potentially least familiar grape variety and region, but by ruling out Nebbiolo, Tannat and Sagrantino we got there.
The two things all three wines had in common were the good tannin/acidity structure and the remarkable length on the palate. The 1997 was my favourite wine of the flight. It was rather limited on the nose, but was the most balanced wine of the three, with tea and tobacco notes, medium-plus tannin, high acidity and tremendous length. The 1999 showed gamy notes on the nose and sweet fruit on the palate, with medium-plus tannin and acidity and very good length. It was the least enjoyable and my least favourite wine of the flight. The 2006 showed a lot of restrained power. It was the darkest wine of the bunch and almost sweet on the palate, with lots of oak, medium-plus tannin and acidity and very good length. It clearly needed more time in the cellar. All three wines screamed for food.

Brownish and ruby, cherry coke-like colour. Elusive perfume of garrige, wax, dried tomatoes, sweet oak and raw meat. Elegant and elitist with a toch of rusticity. Mouthfeel is almost perfect, dense, creamy yet smooth, tannins are resolved and had a good length. Nice experience.
Color como de cola, amarronado y rubí. Perfume elusivo a algarroba, cera, tomates secos, roble dulce y carne fresca.
Last tasted a year ago. This is starting to open up and soften up a bit. What gets me is how distinctly "Italian" this wine is. You can smell and taste the soil/land, and this made an amazing accompaniment to rosticini on the grill. Amazing complexity (tar, herbs, plums, black cherries), and tannins that are approachable after about 2 hours in the decanter. Give this tons of air and it'll be well worth it. I have a few more and think I'll let them sit for 2, 5, and 10 years respectively. Long ways to go...

Phenomenal nose of black cherries, licorice, eucalyptus and red spices. Best after about 30 minutes of air and with food. Very smooth texture with flavors of black cherry and licorice. Then the gripping acidity kicks in which creates a bit of coarseness on the finish but in a good way. Then dry tannins and a wonderful mineral note with hints of licorice and eucalyptus. Beautiful nose of charred cherries, tree bark and minerals. Then wonderful flavors of earth and minerals with subtle black cherry fruit. Really refined and elegant juice with just an alluring authentic mineral flavor that pulls you in. Nicely mature now but still fresh and should continue to hold off the balance and dry tannins. At Maialino in NYC and it went great with the various pastas and meats served. I can't get over how much I enjoyed drinking this.

Man, this is a rockstar wine, but buyer beware it is HUGE and still young even at 12+ years of age. We drank this at Convivium Osteria in Brooklyn and left it in the decanter for an hour to start. At first it was almost undrinkable. Still fiercely tannic, but with an amazing nose of smoke, dark fruit, earth, and leather that jumped from the glass. It needed at least another 2 hours to open up but we couldn't wait all night...we had it with a rack of lamb to end the night, and it was tremendous....incredible depth of fruit and balance. My recommendation: If drinking now, decant and eat with food, preferably red meat. Or wait another 2+ years/decant for 4-5 hours. I have another at home and suspect my score will go up at least 2 points when I open the next one.

Double decanted for three hours, served at room temperature. Color: Medium Red with noticeable bricking. Nose: Sour Cherry, Asian Spice, Red Currant, Caramel, Rose Petal. Palate: see nose. Finish: Medium. Tannins: Medium. Alcohol: 13.5 % well integrated. Medium bodied mouthfeel with initial red fruit. Mid-palate turns spicy transitioning into a caramelly and floral finish. My first Aglianico and reminding me a lot of Brunello di Montalcino. 90-91 points.

Way better than the bottle I had six months ago! Still very much about dark cherries, flowers and honey, but this time it opened up to a much greater extent revealing a complex mix of earthy secondary aromas. On the palate the wine was darker, smoother and much more concentrated. The inconsistency may be due to bottle variation, but more likely yesterdays thorough decant played a significant part in enhancing the quality.

Jordigt, stall och kossa. Tobak och garvat läder. Moget. I love Aglianico! Ett ärligt och redigt vin. Kompromisslöst i sin rustika framtoning.

A stank on this wine that always warms my heart. Earth, tobacco and worcestershire sauce. This had been decanted for five hours. Very good move - it was very drinkable. White pepper, more earth in the mouth and full body. Long after taste. Great wine. One of the first times I've seen a Taurasi that I've drunk when it was ready, instead of in its fiery youth.
Cherry and red berry on the still pretty youthful nose with perfume, iron, slight vegetals, earth and fine integrated oak. Fullbodied with elegant traditional structure and a gently firm tannic grip. Quite dark and meaty palate with chocolate, liquorice, baking spices and earth towards the long finish. An elegant traditional Taurasi. Drinking well now, but there's no hurry with this one. Double decanted.

Nose of dried cherries, leather, road tar, roses. Seems deceptively light weight as it delicately balances firm tannins and a bracing acidity. This is obviously just coming into maturity, but is already showing a wonderful complexity - I could sniff this for hours.

Clear red brick. Provides splendid black currant, tar, leather and other oaky notes. Firm and dry tannins with good acidity - balances the fruits well. Long and dry finish. Need food. Enjoy it with friends!

Tasted immediately after opening. Light ruby with pink edges. Big nose – cherries, flowers, mushrooms and forest floor. A slightly anonymous mid palate followed by a long dry finish. Nicely balanced although the tannins are very much present even after twelve years. As with the Chinon tasted earlier in the evening, I am a little bit underwhelmed. By all means a very nice effort, but I am nowhere near the mid nineties score that some people assign.

limited notes, cherry , cranberry, with still pretty hefty tannins, though better settled down than the 2005 non-reserva. if i recall this had some nice fragrance to it as well, a wine that you can sniff and casually sip over several hours. When Reed asked Dario Pennino of Mastroberardino how long this wine could cellar he shrugged and 'said 50 maybe 70 years'. He told us he consumed a 1928 mastroberardino taurasi radici that was still drinking very well.

A powerful deep red wine with notes of cedar, graphite, bitter almond, barnyard, and dried wild mushrooms. The wine changed considerably between the initial pouring and when it married with some air, yet it was a pleasure the entire time.

Decanted. Nicely developed Taurasi with aromas of flowers, liquorice, tar, autumn leaves, herbs and nicely integrated oak. Full bodied, rich in tannins and with good acidity. Complex Taurasi with good structure, very nice balance and good length.
Nicely developed already, but will last for many more years.

An hour in decanter. Our first Taurasi, and a very nice acquaintance it was. Did not look like - or taste like an - 11 years old wine, so years of cellar potential yet. (The cork had to be removed in 2 parts though). On the nose very modest wood, and some licorice, among other undefinable things. A very well built wine. It was - in the words of Cosmo Kramer - a circus in your mouth, but we were having trouble defining exactly what we tasted. Quite tannic, but pleasant and round. Absolutely great with the pizza margherita Iren made as so often on Saturdays. Iren declared it's not necessarily her kind of wine, but still gave it 88, whereas I gave it 90. In any case, Taurasi is definitely something that will get further attention in the future, whatever she says...
Color: Clear, Day-bright, medium-minus concentration, bright garnet with an orange watery rim. Medium-viscosity. Nose: High-intensity, cured sausage and mushroom on the nose, metallic, dried strawberries. Rose petals. Palate: Dry, medium-bodied, medium alcohol, medium acidity. Dried red fruits, metallic, raw meat, no oak notes. Long finish.

Lovely, mature wine stuffed with soft dark fruits (plums, blackberries etc), leather, earth. Quite complex. Full mouth feel, mellow to begin with, but with significant tannins. Long, dry finish. Worked well with filet of duck.

Nice nose with dark boysenberries, plums, pressed dogrose hips, cedar/pine with well integrated oak. On the pallate the quite firm tannins did work well with the cherry pips and dark fruit. Nice wine to drink now. Never tried the Aglianico grape before, but will do again.

Deep dark red Dark berries, tobacco and and wild strawberry aromas Full bodied, with very good structure and balance. Integrated oak notes with a touch of pepper. Very good length with some bitters cherries
Suprisingly available and complex. I had expected a more tannic and tuff wine.

Cork was a little soft and showed seepage up about 1/4-1/3 of the length.
Deep ruby colour with burgundy tinges. Not quite opaque, but a solid core of colour. Immediately on opening, the nose shows mineral/stone, a potpourri of roses and violets, plums, and a whiff of white peach. Medium-full bodied, it's quite closed on the palate. Shows firms structure and hopefully it will come around in the coming hours. Hints of orange peel and minerals. Short finish, ~20-25s.
After 1.5 hours air in a decanter, nose becomes really expressive. Beautiful, and one that I can easily smell from a couple meters away. Similar notes to before, but just more fragrant. A touch of herbs and worn saddle leather also present. The wine is starting to come around on the palate as well. Still very firm and tannic, showing mostly structure, but there are some dark fruits coming out. More persistent length also, but finishes a little chalky.
2.5 hours in, still tons of grip. A substantial slab of medium-rare rib eye steak helps to tame the tannin some and bring the fruit to the fore. Really delicious stuff, but I would say this is a minimum of 3-5 years from being "in the zone."
3.5 hours in, the palate is more brooding, showing dark fruit - black plums, blackcurrant, and some black licorice. 91 points at this time.
--------------------------
Day 2 - Saved a glass in a small bottle (leftovers were moved from the decanter to the bottle and then sealed).
The wine has developed aromatically, almost brooding, with spicy, balsamic, and sandalwood notes. Really, really enticing. More complex on the palate as well, with baking spices and small, dark berry fruit. Still good length and structure.
If there was uncertainty on the quality or longevity of the wine last night, it has dissipated. With time this will surely blossom into something special. Quite fantastic! Upgraded to 93 points.

This 1999 is still going strong.

Ruby red with slight clearing in the rim. This is an elegant wine that is medium bodied. Smokey, gamey on the nose with bracing acidity and tannin structure dominated by sour cherries. A food wine for sure as on its own it can be a little taut. Should continue to age for 5+ years.

Complex nose with leather, barnyard, red cherry, fennel, sage and earthy minerality. Medium to full bodied with velvety tannins, vibrant fruit and a long aftertaste. At peak with at least another 5 years of life ahead. Excellent aged wine at a reasonable price.

The inconsistency may be due to bottle variation, but more likely yesterdays thorough decant played a significant part in enhancing the quality.

Drank for 26th anniversary dinner at Rialto in Boston. Well made mature wine but tasted like a cabernet, not like any aglianico I ever had before.

A powerful deep red wine with notes of cedar, graphite, bitter almond, barnyard, and dried wild mushrooms. The wine changed considerably between the initial pouring and when it married with some air, yet it was a pleasure the entire time.

Served and drank a bit too warm. Nice drink, tannins have become quite supple but still having a small acidic grip. Start to drink up I now.

Quite nice. K enjoyed less than I did. Still very tight when opened. After about two hours, had settled down some. Very lush dark fruits. Went great with fresh venision medallions and a ruby port/cranberry sauce.

Deep dark red
Dark berries, tobacco and and wild strawberry aromas
Full bodied, with very good structure and balance. Integrated oak notes with a touch of pepper.
Very good length with some bitters cherries
Suprisingly available and complex. I had expected a more tannic and tuff wine.
