1976 DRC Richebourg- Dried flowers, red fruit, sous bois and perfume on the nose. Palate is sweet and linear with excellent depth and vibrancy. The 76 DRC in good provenance is consistently epic, and still drinking marvellously at peak. 94++

Much better than prior bottle tasted. Sediment aplenty. Mint and dried roses, so much lift and freshness aromatically. Deep ripe vintage palate. (773/17328)

Lots of smoke and Asian soy, hoisin. Soft red cherry spice. Expressive, leaning tertiary. Red clay. Red berry fruit is drying up a bit. Spicy. Another very impressive showing and drinking at peak, maybe a bit past. Had another bottle from this case two years ago and recall that it was excellent, notwithstanding no notes.

(Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Richebourg) Light bricked red color with five millimeter clear meniscus; nice cigar box, tobacco, tart orange nose; tasty, tart orange, tobacco, cigar box palate with smoke and firm tannins; long finish
(Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Richebourg) Very light red orange color with pale meniscus; musty nose, touch of TCA; mature, tart red fruit, roses palate with good structure; medium finish
(Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Richebourg) Light medium orange color with ruby lights and clear meniscus; appealing mature spice box, leather and tobacco nose; tasty, mature, mushroom, spice box and lamb jus palate; medium-plus finish
(Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Richebourg) Light brick red color with clear meniscus; chaptalized, mushroom and chlorine nose; mature, savory, tart plum, tart cherry palate, long past its prime; medium-plus finish (might seem a high rating given my description, but the complexity on the palate led me to give it that score)

Perfect aged DRC. Light and willowy but pretty. Very forest floor. (6676/17328)
