This really grew on me, especially as the reductive tones blew off to reveal some of the pure fruit underneath. It really needs a longer nap to fully blossom but I loved the extremely mineral-inflected raspberry and black cherry, ripe and densely-packed but still very high-toned, with lots of fresh thyme and salinity. Surprisingly dark and tannic too, definitely one built for aging. It was beautiful now too, just very high and tight, and feels like it trying to burst at the seams.

This was quite good and was best on day 3. Full bodied for a pinot, reddish / purple color. Doesn't look like a red burgundy. Palate matched the look in terms of weight. Had a mouth coating effect and full bodied. Very fruit forward with tart raspberry and some chocolate notes. Could have passed for a Russian River pinot but did an excellent job of having enough earth and acidity to remind you its actually from Burgundy. Great QPR.

Medium to full bodied, this is silky, smoky, and tasty. Surprisingly easy to drink now but I expect it has the stuffing to last for at least a decade as on day two this was little-changed and still delicious.

This was really good. Heavy and lots of fruit but with enough earth TK back it up. Would definitely drink again!

Monday Burgundy Cellar Visits - Albert Morot, Méo-Camuzet, and Ramonet (Cote d'Or): Tasting at the domaine. Same degree of richness as Bressandes, but more forward and fleshy with silkier tannins. Maybe slightly less concentrated, but also very good overall, 91-92+ point potential.
