Tasted at the Louis Jadot in September 2016 while sampling various back vintages. This one really stood out for its freshness and liveliness so a purchase was definitely in order. We opened our bottle in January 2017 and it was as good as when it was tasted at the winery. Cranberries and spice dominated the nose and palate. Sour cherry on the palate as well. Don't believe people who say that Gamay cannot age. This is almost twenty years old and it is stellar. (The bottle was apparently sampled and recorked in 2011, possibly also topped up, according to the top of the cork - "Rebouche en 2011")

Again drank this bottle of Moulin-a-Vent. Nancy remarked on smoothness and the variety of tastes. I like the spicyness as it approaches the end. A solid wine.

Actually consumed the night before. Not as hearty a grape as the cabernet sauvignon with which it was compared. But nice spicyness and good duration. WIll continue to taste.
