Drinking well with plenty of air at this point. Perhaps not profound but plenty of stuffing. Meaty rich dark red fruit with plenty of pepper. Tannins are still pronounced and this seems to have a long road ahead. Very nice as always from Sorrel!

This is a killer wine. Tasted blind. Had it pegged as CDP on the nose. On the palate high acid, high alcohol, full body. Cherries, blueberries, cinnamon, cloves. Long finish. Got better over the course of a few hours. Drinking incredibly but still young and likely to continue to improve. Outstanding.

Very expressive perfume out of the glass. Plenty of dark berries, cocoa powder, licorice, cardamom, violet, and creosote. This has gained considerable depth on the palate over the last few years, and I think it's close to entering its drinking window. Possessing very good definition for a wine of its weight/muscle, it finishes just ripe with grippy tannin still to resolve (93+). Hold/drink to 2036+.

The last two tasting notes by FMIII & AA some up my experience of this wine almost perfectly....although I might be a little more smitten with it. A gorgeous, elegant, floral, yet completely satisfying bottle of Northern Rhone Syrah - but blind, I would surely have reached for Cote Rotie rather than Hermitage. Drinking beautifully in late 2021 after a couple of hours in a wide bottom decanter. Will probably develop greater complexity with time (& perhaps some of the more typical savoury Hermitage notes ? ), but it's drop dead gorgeous as it is now. One of the most enjoyable wines I have drunk all year! 13%abv.

Poured blind. Pencil shaving and graphite aromas. This has such a pure raspberry fruit component, so delicious and fresh. Retasted the following morning, the wine had rounded out a lot more, with a juicy palate of red fruit, rosemary and licorice with good structure to carry the wine forward. This was my red WOTN.
