Nose: pineapple, white flower, white chocolate, nutty, honey Notes: this combination of tropical fruits together with nuts and honey is absolutely fine and amazing. Quite a signature Lafon nose and feel although the vintage is usually less full and concentrated so I'll say despite the wine having a relatively full body but likely it's going to be lighter than other vintages. Took at least an hour to open up thus I think it will have plenty of life ahead of it and there's definitely no rush to finish up this one. Drink: 2030+ Rating: 92

So fresh from first pour. Exquisite white peach fruit along with notes of fresh mint, aniseed and almond butter. Rich and voluminous, but light on its feet. Great mineral precision, silky of texture and excellent grapefruit cut. Fabulous length.

Very pretty right now with tons of flavor and some mouthwatering acidity. Served on Thanksgiving with a 2018 Aubert UV SL chard. General agreement was that the Lafon was the better wine but the Aubert paired better with the rich turkey and stuffing

Lafon crushed the vintage and 2011 Charmes is superb tonight, floral, elegant and detailed, wafting from the glass with layered aromatics of yellow orchard fruit, fresh lilies, hazelnuts and pastry cream. The palate is vibrant and textured with killer volume, racy citrusy acids and a long stony mineral inflicted finale. While still young of course, 2011 Charmes is in a fantastic spot with another 20 years easy. Below notes advising to drink up are nonsense.
