You have to like really old wine to enjoy this wine. Very mellow. Last fruit holding onto it. Gave a bad rotten egg smell when first opened but dissipated with decanting. Enjoyed it.
Just subtle weak plum and red berry notes on the palate.

An old charmer. Fading in length, but still a real pleasure. The nose was classic Bordeaux, with soft aromas of loamy earth, cedar and cassis, with drifts of pencil lead and tobacco at the edges. The palate lacked a touch of depth, thinning a little towards the finish, but it still had a lovely charm about its plush, sweet cassis attack and slightly chewier midpalate, all still couched in a juicy acidity and nice velvety tannins as it glided away with little notes of cedar and a puff of tobacco smoke.
