Nicolas Joly Coulee de Serrant 1962 - 1995: Day 1 - poured through Coravin: Beautiful, clear, see-through light golden colour. It has high acidity and initially a bit of yellow plums on the nose. Starts off quiet. A bit of honey on the palate, reminds me of a Riesling. Not oxidative at all. There's some vanilla and it becomes more mellow with air.
Day 2 - the bottle is opened: Warm chemical note as well as VA. Lovely sweetness to it, also some mushroom. Sweet and sour note and beautiful development in the glass. Overall this wine was WOTN for the group. I also loved it, but probably also because of the history, as it was the 1st vintage by Joly family.
