Nicolas Joly Coulee de Serrant 1962 - 1995: Day 1 - poured through Coravin: There's grass and peppermint, reduction not unlike I typicaly find in DP. Reduction is not that pleasant in fact, there's something smelly and rotten on the nose - pickle, smoke and sewer. Quite edgy on the palate.
Day 2 - the bottle is opened: Milky, soft, round and tasty. Nicely balanced. It completely changed with air to the better.

Starts off with some musty cellar stink, moves through a little mushroom and truffle and then the nose is mandarin peel, apple cider, honey and lemon. It is rich in the mouth with plenty of orange and mandarin flavours coupled with decaying apple, mineral, honey and toast. It is rich with a hint of butter and acidity is still prevalent and supportive. A delicious wine that grew and grew in the glass.

Color of blanched almonds, powerful floral notes and precise fresh green apple. Easily described as youthful.
Fantastic

Stunning bottle. Nose of great complexity, ripe apples, mandarins, almond, butterscotch.... Very dense and long, perfect balance.
