Purchased on release by a friend, this was simply off the hook. Elegant, silky, showy, flamboyant and loaded with start to finish with truffles, smoke, coffee beans, tobacco, roasted red plums, herbs and spice. The finish was soft, silky and elegant, with bright, earthy, spicy red fruits that lingered long after the wine was gone.

blind drinkable, but in my opinion too much lovage to show the beauty of this wine. Some other in this group liked it really much but for me over his peak. If I had to rate. 91-92

Beautiful wine with rich sweet flavors of red fruit. Perfectly balanced and very long on the palate. Great wine!

Stunning at this age. Dropped less fruit than 1959s, still sweet.
