  (C) Excellent fill level and colour
  PNP - The nose was delicate and intriguing, showing graphite, spices, blackberry and forest floor. It was surprisingly bright and juicy on the palate with fresh fruit and integrated tannins.
  After about 1 hour in the bottle, it gained weight and became a bit brooding with more graphite flavour on the palate. The nose was more interesting at this point displaying complex notes of blueberries, raspberries and savoury spices.
  3 hours later, the wine became more integrated and vibrant on the palate with a savoury mid palate and a grainy finish. It paired extremely well with the short ribs.

  not blind, together with 1993
  Today the 89 didn't perform as it could be. I preferred the 1993.
  Missing length and concentration. The 1993 was more accessible and with more fruit and density. 96

  Rouge rubis foncé, un nez beaucoup plus profond que le 92, en bouche c'est tannique, mure, ça goûte la liqueur de cassis, le kirsch, beaucoup plus structuré et typique bordelais. Je trouve que son profil se rapproche beaucoup plus d'un Cabernet-Sauvignon et non d'un Merlot.
  Un délicieux Pétrus plus riche et rustique que le 92 qui devrait être attendu encore 5 a 10 ans.
  Encore une fois, bien fait mais ne vaut aucunement son prix.

  Drank it 10 days before, again in a very good stage, fruity, silky tannins, refreshing acidity, very good for this vintage. reaching his peak. no hurry to drink, missing a little bit length, but very balanced with a lot pressure in the mid palate. 94-95
