From a great looking bottle with a 3 cm fill, this wine had a red center and light red/pink rims. The high+ intensity nose generated blackberries, tan spices, rhubarb, and minerals.
In the mouth, this wine was light on its feet but at the same time sappy and intense. It had a gorgeous three dimensional texture, light tannin, and outstanding length.
This is at peak but will last at least 5+ years.

From an excellent looking bottle with a 3.5 cm fill, this wine had a red center with orange/tawny rims. The high- intensity nose put forth rhubarb, cherries, oranges, tan spices, minerals, and a hint of clove.
In the mouth, this wine was smooth as silk with light, rounded tannin, crisp acidity, and excellent length. This wine grew stronger and stronger with air and needed a couple hours of air to show its best. The balance, integration, and fine-grained acidity were incredible.
While this wine appears to be at it appogee, it will not be fading anytime soon. This is what Burgundy is supposed to be about. It is a monument!

This 1971 Vogue Musigny was fairly recently rated 100 points by James Suckling. is showing a beautiful succulent red cherry aroma of a classic Musigny, classically sweet Grand Cru Burgundy backbone. Vogue wines need a long cellaring time before revealing its charm. This 1971 Musigny exhibits a gorgeous nose with a clear and transparent backbone, stunning freshness. Ripe tannins, strawberries, mellow gamey and black tea tones. The balance is nothing but perfect. (96/100)

An Evening of Vinous Merriment and Majesty Among Friends (Craft, New York): A gorgeous nose and awesome texture. Lovely acidity. Red cherries and smoke. A bit darker fruit profile than the otherworldly '62 tasted alongside.

Six Decades of de Vogüé Musigny: 2013 to 1969 (Vaucluse): Beautiful nose, immediately reminiscent of the '62 in may. Expressive, nuanced, coffee, chocolate covered cherry. Summed up as a profoundly delicious burgundy.
