Nice wine but was not one of my favorites from a night of First Growths from both banks. Would like to try again in 5-10 years. Not a strong vintage for red Bordeaux in general. 53% Merlot, 41% CabSauv, 6% CabFranc. Made in 70% new French oak. Not as fruit forward as many Bordeaux these days, with acids, tannins and earth flavors overshadowing fruit to some degree. Still, enjoyable and hope to try in future.

Killing a baby - and one really shouldnt (not my bottle). Intense, concentrated with a core of dark berrries, plenty of iron, tobacco, but nothing is revealed as of yet. Needs 10 years IMHO. 95+ #BillionairesLunch#Hjorts

This Haut-Brion is quite elegant and aristocratic. Details about the cepage can be read in other notes The bouquet is tending towards red berries, a little tobacco, graphite and some cedar. The tannin structure is quite amazing and ultra refined, overall its mediumbodied with a good length. I would retaste in 5 years.

Clean high intensity, can read text through the red-purple color Medium plus nose, cassis, savory spices medium plus body medium plus to high alcohol medium acidity Dry tannin with a long finish $600 as tasted, could use another 5-15yrs of age to really open most likely 53% merlot, 40% cabernet, 7% cab franc left bank merlot heavy example

Grand Vin indeed. Rich, intense, tight, dry and firm with great concentration. Plenty of blackberry and tobacco here.
