The sheer class of Haut-Brion overpowers the vintage here. This one stays otally on it's feet, a dense, deep wine with smoke and blackberry galore, great concentration and a ripe core. Needs time. #Marchal

Medium ruby.
Incredible depth on the nose with black currant, black plum, black cherry, cedar, graphite, cinnamon.
Incredible palate - super pronounced, lovely evolving finish. Fantastic wine.
*** Tasted as part of a walkaround 2018 Bordeaux tasting. Not full notes ***

The best 2018 wine in bordeaux, alongside Ch. Margaux. Need to rest at least 10 years to express all it’s enormous potential
