  • Pulled this to match another 2008 Chablis a friend brought over. A perfect foil for yet another Friday oyster blow out and it presented a classic zingy Chablis with very fresh fruit and bracing acidity. Laser focused and precise. Great mineral component on this Chalky number. A good effort that was still years from peak which was a pleasant but not that big a surprise considering the fruit source. A 1/3 of a bottle the next evening showed even better with more roundness on the palate. No rush but I expect good things from my remaining bottles.

  • Superbe tenue dans le temps.
Belle couleur dorée sans trace brunâtre, bien net.
Nez minéral, citron confit, tilleul, coquillages, paille séchée, herbes froides (estragon?), projection moyenne+, aucune trace oxydative au nez. Superbe,
La bouche suit, tout en équilibre, acidité rafraîchissante, amertume modérée, légère prise minérale, belle longueur, très homogène.
    Une beauté ce soir!
Conservé en cave passive sous obscurité complète.
    Bouchon en excellente condition.
    Bravo!

  • Like my last two notes. Very Chablis, very 1er cru. Nice detail and definition, Chablis tang, moderate depth and complexity. Still takes an hour or so after opening to relax and show its best. My last '08, but, happily, I'm well-provisioned in '10, '14, '17, and '18. Also the 18 Butteaux VV.

    Faint nose of lemon.
Sharp freshness without tartness after slow-ox about 1 hour. Mineral, fresh, stones, lemon amd dry. Good wine.

  • Consistent with my last note. I have discovered one more bottle of this in the crawl space. Drink? Or hold? That is the question.
