Red
2004 Château Bellefont-Belcier St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
best output yet... pencil domination has subsided and integrated into more fruit and balance
Red
terrific... IMO, years of life left in this bottle. Never was a fruit bomb, but there is still plenty to keep this interesting. Thumbs up
Red
over oakyness finally subsiding. a good drink with burgers
Red
this was disappointing, certainly not bad, but not exciting in the least. Hope the rest of 4 are better.

Red
chalk, herbs and red fruit on the nose, palate still has a little grip... lots of upside on waiting.
Red
this was terrific. tons of life left, plenty of tannin and fruit. no rush to consume the last 2 bottles

Red
hmmm, pleasant but pretty nondescript. perhaps in a dead phase. prior bottle much more expressive.
Red
developing nicely, good acidity, was perfect with tenderloin dinner

Red
too oaky for my taste, opened for guests who like that.
Red
this was lovely, paired wonderfully with home made lasagna. tannins completely integrated oodles of currents and red fruit.

most of the bottles in this purchase group were corked to the point where even I, a non-sensitive, couldn't even smell it without retching.
Red
p-n-p… nose is quiet, but the palate brims with cinnamon, iodine and red fruit. The tannins are not yet integrated. a good drink, but will get better with time...
Red
2003 Château La Couspaude St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
pleasant nose and mouth feel. tannins well integrated, cassis and fruit dominated with little pencil-like character. non-winos would enjoy this.
Red
PnP... reticent nose. plums, figs, fermented cherries on the palate. Shortish finish. Notes not unlike 2-3 years ago... I like, but not blown away.
Red
surprisingly good, stored in fridge overnight after opening and it had enough life for dinner
Red
this needed time. two years later this was much more balanced and enjoyable. Lots of sediment deposited. I've found this to be much more enjoyable than an 05 I recently tasted. Maybe worth picking up in off years?
Red
first of a case. dense cassis dominated with structure and a reasonably long finish. I would otherwise be excited (QPR) if not for a green note that pervades the mid-palate and lasts through the finish. Hope this is a single bottle or it disappears with additional bottle aging...
Red
this tasted pretty good, but is too brawny and fruity for my style of pinot. This is not a delicate wine...
Red
good, but wait
Red
still a bit young. rest of case needs to rest. lot os red and dark fruit, first sips had plenty of toung tip tannins.
Red
mmm, great pairing with firepit and brats on the open flame
Red
2001 Château Quinault L'Enclos St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
VGOOD, Lots of stuffings left for a few more years/ WAIT
Red
good stuffings, and hints of additional complexity to come.
Red
first sips ... good earth, good fruit, a structured tail. I like so far...
Red
this turned a bit jammy for me on night 2, but excellent on night 1.
Red
still primary with a bit of tannin, but the stuffins are there for good stuff down the the road. HOLD
Red
2005 Château de Reignac Bordeaux Supérieur Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
tight nose, closed down on the palate, good fruit cross section and desiccating tannins on night 2. HOLD
Red
subdued nose, more fruit than pencil, still a little tannin in there, not yet peaked, VGOOD, HOLD...
Red
2004 Château Bellefont-Belcier St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
good density, earth and fruit. a good long life remaining... GOOD+
Red
2003 Château Courtin Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
off taste on night one, will revisit.
Red
best bottle of 6 (1 left). Added considerable fruit and balance since 1+ year ago. GOOD+
Red
good balance, good fruit, good finish, still some drying tannins on the finish. Plenty of years left in it. GOOD+
Red
whoa, thats a lot of oak. Lots of wine, but way too much oak for my taste... GOOD-
Red
extracted, a bit hot, and big fruit. To my taste too flabby for most foods and too much for after dinner sipping. This is clearly better balanced than previous vintages, but supports my previous assertion to remove from my yearly buy list...
Red
significant acid bite, good fruit, little structure, enjoyable. best with food.
Red
tight on opening, opened over the evening. Enjoyable, but no notes taken...
Red
2008 Ridge Lytton Springs Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel Blend, Zinfandel (view label images)
drank most friday night, v good, stored in cellar till Sunday evening. Last glass was rockin'. Too bad its the last bottle...
Red
pleasantly stunned by the quality of the nose and the palate, though the finish was short. You, will see on night 2.
Red
eminently more drinkable than previous bottles. Time has been good to this vino...
Red
2003 Château Sansonnet St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
entering a good drinking window for me. More enjoyable after an hour or two as it unwound. More subtle fruit and earth flavors, tannins supporting and not obtrusive. Wait 1 year for next bottle. GOOD+
Red
excellent, as was said below, an excellent "mix of fruit, earth and acidity of this bottling". Sadly, it was the only bottle I had ...
Red
2004 Xtant Wines XTANT Napa Valley Red Bordeaux Blend (view label images)
while a good accompany to steaks and baked sweet potatoes, this wine lacked a compelling nose and a strong finish. Structure was good and the initial attack was complex with cassis being dominant. I don't intend to wait more than a year or two to finish the last two bottles. Glad I got it on sale...
Red
2 hour decant, muted nose. palate hits first with an acidic light cherry taste, a desicating mid-palate and a 20 second finish that includes a little tobacco, but is otherwise ill defined to my palate. The structure is still there and the fruit is medium strength so I see a few more good years left in this one. This is one of two bottles, will sit on the other for a year or two. Good with Lasagna.
Red
Nose and palate are in a good place. the intense, primary cassis flavors have settled and while there is still lingering structure, a more nuanced body and texture is emerging. Lots of life left still. GOOD
Red
drinkable, but this isn't grabbing me. overextracted feel that is muted on the fruit, if that makes any sense.
Red
super new world. good
