Deep garnet, almost brick on the edges. Decanted for about 3.5 hours to pair with grilled steaks.

Dark cherry, red fruits, cedar and some tobacco notes. Hint of chocolate shavings. Lingering finish that goes on and on. I’ve been sitting on this one for a while, definitely peaking!

Sadly I only have one of these, but I still have some Thirteen’s and Estate’s waiting patiently…

Beautiful brick / crimson colour, this is a true Bordeaux style. Notes of cherry, cigar box, cedar. Paired with a grilled tenderloin. Glad I waited! Drinking beautifully, lots of life left yet!

Paired with smoked short ribs (yum). The 2015 showing garnet colour some brick shading at the top. Notes of damp earth, cigar box and leather, with some cedar at the top of the glass (maybe white pepper too?).
Beautiful lengthy finish. Tasting dark fruits at the open, moving into feeling the soft tannins wash over my mouth.
Waiting a few more years for the next one but this is goooood.

Been sitting on this one a while. Almost crimson in the glass. Decanted for about two hours. Aromas of dark fruit, cedar, graphite. Very well built wine. Tannins have smoothed and a lingering finish. Alas my last one.

Very dark inky and rusty red in colour. Decanted for five hours before dinner with a grilled flank steak. Extremely long legs gives away the alcohol content (a little hot on the nose) which later gives way to aromas of bright red fruit, some blackberry, hint of caramel maybe cassis(?). Lots of pepper. Tannins still a little grippy but showing lots of promise.

Beautiful garnet colour. Popped the cork and the aroma transported me right back to the vineyard. Nose has cedar, pepper, dark red fruit. Smooth supple tannins with a velvety mouth feel and a finish that goes on for days

Paired this with smoked tri tips. What a magical combination.

Nose of blackberry/ blueberry, perhaps some dark cherry along with black pepper notes. Lingering finish that lasts.

Popped a 3l for NY Eve with friends decanted about two hours as of typing this. More time will be rewarded. Beautiful ruby/garnet colouring. Getting hints of leather & cassis, maybe white pepper. Still some dark fruit on the nose. Beautiful legs on the glass and a finish that goes on and on

Decanted about an hour. Dark and inky. The fruitiness of the raspberry others have noted is gone, but matured into something deeper. Smooth tannins. Yum

Lovely garnet colour on bottle pop. Aromas of leather, cigar box, maybe a hint of cherry? Some real structure. Decanted for only an hour (bit of a last minute decision!)

Christmas Eve with grilled steaks. Decanted abt 4 hours. Beautiful garnet colour. Tons of complex structure. Cherries, cigar box and hints of cedar on the nose. We picked this up when visiting the winery in 2012. Alas it’s my only one :(

Gorgeous. Deep garnet colour. Decanted for 5 1/2 hours and was I ever rewarded for the patience. Initial nose of cherries evolved to cocoa and earthy notes. Velvety mouthfeel with with a finish that lingers. Bought this when we visited the winery and wish I had a bunch more.

Oh my...been sitting on a few of these for four years. Popped at 2pm to decant for dinner. Beautiful garnet colour. Cedar, forest floor, dark fruit on the nose. Supple, silky tannins create a gorgeous mouth feel. Five hours later, boy does this sing...aromas of blueberry, blackberry, cedar box, and a finish that just doesn’t stop...

Blackberries and raspberries on the nose with hints of black peppercorns. Maybe some dark cherry at the end of the nose??

Paired with grilled lamb chops and risotto. Too bad I only have one of these!

Beautiful garnet in colour. Small taste on bottle pop revealed lots of red fruit. Hint of cigar box. Decanted and complexities presented after about 2 hrs. Incredibly built. Even get some graphite?? Best part of this is that I have 5 more...

Not to be trite but omigosh. Decanted for about 5 1/2 hours and paired with grilled stuffed flank steak. Almost caramel in colour. Early barnyard funk blew off quickly, opening to elegant lingering finish. Earth, tobacco, some anise aromatics at the bottom of the glass. Still lots of red fruit. My only regret is that I don’t have a case of this...

Still not at full potential. Dark plum in colour. Lingering finish. Tobacco, red fruit, and leather. Depth and complexity shows some serious muscle. Luc Morlet did a heck of a job on this.

Unwrapped the foil on my last one and thought “uh-oh”. The cork looked damp. Decanted and had a small taste after bottle pop. Definitely on its last legs. After a couple of hours it came to life. A “true Napa Bordeaux”. Sang with notes of tobacco and cigar box. Still some red fruit but subtle. Licorice on the finish.

Opened to pair with a grilled, stuffed flank steak. Typical Bordeaux nose on bottle pop. Ruby / garnet colour. Hints of cherry and pencil lead on the nose when I decanted it. After about two hours it opened up really well. Cigar box, plum, and a touch of graphite. Alas my only one...

Left to decant for about 4h. Tons of sediment in the bottle so the decant was done carefully! Paired with thick juicy steak. Deep plum colour. Beautiful long finish. Notes of tobacco and chocolate, not at all fruit forward. Really enjoyed this one...

Really deep. PJ has outdone himself. Lots of cigar box, tobacco and a lingering finish that keeps you coming back. Chocolate notes and very dark fruit. At the very end of the evening picked up some hints of caramel. Waited on this one for a while, and was not disappointed one iota (except that it's my last one!)

We decanted this and there was a little residual with some sediment. Poured that into a glass at the very end and had a sniff and small taste. Though cloudy and you could taste the sediment, even that was yummy.

Last one I have of this vintage (what a shame but it was great fun tasting these over the past 4 years).

Opened late afternoon and into the decanter. Sediment had settled nicely so I was careful not to disturb it. Initial taste in the first five minutes (I had to take a peek) showed a hint of red fruit along with cigar / coffee notes.

About 3-4 hours later picked up some dark current or blackberry on the nose, very pleasant mouth feel with an incredibly long and wonderful finish. Notes of leather. You can feel the terroir as the fine tannins grip the inside of your mouth.

Smoky spice with a late finish almost like bacon! So smooth it's almost silky...

Paired with a beautiful ribeye, and then picked up a hint of blackberry.

I love this wine...

Wow. Shared this with great friends. Bottle pop had classic Bordeaux tendencies. After decanting for 2 hours it began to sing. Loved the dark ruby colour and hint of coffee, tobacco, vanilla and blackberries (even a cherry note on the finish). Enjoyed this bottle to the nth degree. One more left and can't wait (but will wait a bit to see how it changes)

Popped at 4:30 and into the decanter. Lots of very fine sediment with a gorgeous deep ruby colouring. Lots of barnyard on the nose initially. Half an hour later a very small swirl in the glass, with tastes of graphite and earthy tones. Later on, lots of earth, deep berries, tobaccos and major wow!

Wonderful. Let this one open up over four hours before pairing with grilled steaks. Some graphite and damp earth upon cork pop, settled into tobacco, earth and cedar notes. Very smooth and very pleasant but not incredibly long finish. Three more in the cellar and eagerly looking forward to the rest.

Bought these at a charity auction and decided to pull one to check it out. Popped and poured a small taste before decanting. Some fine sedimentation observed. Cigar on the nose and graphite on the palate. After decanting for an hour, poured another glass with grilled steaks and truffle, leather and cherry emerged on the nose. Deep garnet with long slow legs. Really enjoyable finish. I will wait to enjoy my remaining bottles with eager anticipation!

The wine looks Garnet colored. It smells like Plums, with a hint of licorice. The body is Medium. The wine has Satin-like texture. The wine finishes Medium. First taste within 10 mins of opening was ok, expanded with a wait. Overall a solid wine. I will buy more.
