I have little to add to my earlier note other than the wine improved as the evening wore on despite having been opened(not decanted)4 hours beforehand. My dining companion felt it was perfect from his first sip though.

Black cherry core, medium weight, light rim. Ripe black cherry fragrance, soft herbal spice, very well integrated. Cherry, damson, a little blueberry, soft earthy spice, sweet fruits drive it but finishes with well balanced acidity and fine furry tannins that are beautifully structured. Drinks beautifully.

(Dreyfus Ashby & Co. import; purhased on release); fresh and young; bright, deep garnet red in color; earthy beetroot and cranberry on the nose; piquant, chalky red fruit on the palate; the finish has minerals, spice and black cherry; the longer it sat in the glass, the more emotionally involving it became (it kept drawing me back and improved each time I tasted it); this is delicious, but I need to keep my hands off; it has gobs of potential. Even better on night #2. In five years, this will be a 'wow' wine.

(Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Bonnes Mares) Dark cherry red color; baked cherry, berry, black cherry nose; tight, rounded, tart cherry, baked cherry, raspberry puree, mineral, tart orange palate with medium acidity; long finish
(Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Bonnes Mares) Medium cherry red color; sappy, ripe cherry and red fruit nose; ripe, delicious, sappy and deep cherry, red fruit and roses palate; medium-plus finish 94+ pts.
(Comte Georges de Vogüé Bonnes-Mares) Deep cherry-red. A brooding nose that mixes red and black fruit, though black is dominant, with a coffee edge. Concentrated and tannic. Starts on full power, a gradual diminuendo is the character of the wine - well it couldn't go higher! - fading very slowly into the finish. It's fully-packed with material and shows great balance. Not a hint four-square, but I wouldn't consider opening this bruiser for at least another 8 years.

Comte de Vogue Tasting with Jean Luc Pepin (London, 19 September 2023): This was quite nice if not especially memorable and outclassed by the Amoureuses and Musigny of the same vintage.
