Pnp, pristine bottle with wax seal intact, cokor is pale yellow, floral nose of white orchid, hint of cream and lime. Lifted acidity on palate, but was immediately takrn over by the elegant yet powerful aroma bomb, floral and fruits dancing, lovely acid entangled with mineral hint of brine. Very long finish, and lingers. Bravo !!

Pnp, a clear ruby with light rim, aroma gains weight after breathing in glass, a bouquet of red fruits, spice and hint of oak. Contrast to the light appearance, the wine is pretty concentrated on palate, very elegant and purfumed without shatp edges or harsh tannin. Perfect balance of red fruit with fine acidity and just slightly bitter sweetness. Finish with a med to long hawthorne aroma which is lovely.

Disgorged in Jul 2018, pale straw yellow with fine beads. Nose is akin to a matured Chablis, lemon peel, honey and slightly tar. Bright acidity on palate as this is brut nature, but not the typical grabbing and rough, this is smooth and gentle and at the sametime concentrated. Refreshing and complex.

Slowly bt breathed, deep ruby, fresh cherry and blueberry aroma, earth and hint of spice. Slightly grippy, good acidity feminine, more fruits from mid palate, obviously still young. More posed finish and shall age well, no rush to pop the cork anytime soon.

Pnp, sweet ripe grapefruit, almost a meursault with finely balanced oak. Lovely acidity that blends seemlessly with fruits, medium finish, and a really good wine to pair with food.

From magnum, lot 196 (on the other end of the label, it said 98 mag was made from thia bin). Dunno, color is bright garnet, read the review on cellar-tracker made me worried when popping the cork. But the aroma out of the bottle confirmed the provenance, pristine. Plenty of cherries and red fruits as Griotte should be. Hint of spice too. Sweet and fresh on palate, tannin almost velvet, mild length but very lively, perfumed and elegant. Exactly the Griotte I adored. Lucky !

Pnp, surprisingly ruby color instead of deep red. Purfumed nose of strawberry, spice and oak which is hardly opulent givennthis is a GC. Fairly concentrated in mouth, tanin is surprisingly smooth, oak spice slight more dominant, some dark fruits from mid palate, a starnge Chambertin where the mineral and earth are not prominent. Need time ?

Pnp, garnet color with a light rim. Ripe red fruits and hint of spice and autumn leaves. Sweet on palate, just enough acidity to bring out the fruits with more oak on palate than on nose. Good concentration and the use of oak justify the ripe fruits which was meant for long haul. Tannin pretty velvet but will continue to evolve. Long finish and more fruits emerged that overcame the oak. A hidden gem that will continue to age gracefully.

Thanks to a local merchant that bring this Domaine to us, pnp, full of matured aroma of autumn leaves, ripe fruits and hint of floral elements. Sweet fruits on palate, well resolved tannin, not concentration here, but a balanced posture that differs from a typical Pommard that is fr8m and unyielding. Lovely effort !!

Pnp, the moment the cork was pulled, the aroma was so fresh and perfumed as I was preparing myself for bt variation. Light golden in color was a good sign, nose is whisky, period. Initially lack depth despite the lovely aroma, after some breathing, all pieces fall into place. Very balanced and young given the age, power without weight !! Bravo !!

As though the passage of time has shown mercy to this wine, nothing has changed, still grippy tannin, acidic and dusty. Dry with fruits backward. I would only pay a fraction for it at the going price.

Last bt from yhe sale auction lot, foil cut to reveal cork. Pnp, rim is pale brick and crimson core. Nose is gorgeously earthy, leather, mushroom and floral. Inital palate is leaning to acidic, but after some airing, the wine gathered muscle, becomes more concentrated, good acidity with fully resovled tannin, power without weight, there are still fruits from mid palate to a long finish. A gem.

Pnp, color is relatively matured garnet, plenty of red fruits jumped out of glass shunned the worry that this is over the peak. Hint of oak and minerality. Sweet and sharp on palate with good acidity that lifted the wine, almost power without weight, but lacked the complexity. Nonetheless a very well composed structure and medium finish.

Pnp, airing in glass, color is much darker than the 90 Lafite, denser atoma of dark fruits, licorice, forest floor and earth. More intense in all dimensions, oak still upfront, but sweet fruits and mild acidity helped made thia wine an enjoyable 2003. Not as long as the Lafite surprisingly, this has a lot more life ahead.

Celebrate my girl admitted into a renowed university. Breathed for 2 hrs, top fill with bright ruby and a lighter rim in the glass. nose is full of lead pencil, cassis, typical Pauillac structure. Very elegant surprisingly on palate, sweet dark fruits and good acidity. Still have room to evolve, but not a wow wine by any measure, some tertiary aroma noted, maybe I am spoiled by wines from Burgundy.

Drink over a span of few hour, color is deep garnet, floral, red fruits and oak on nose. Concentration picked up as more time contact with air. Balanced palate of red fruits and residual of oak. Past its prime? I would say not, give it more time, enjoyable now but like 2004, they could be full of surprise. More pefumed than sheer power, same as Mugnier's that I tasted before. 2007 is better thn 2008.

Pnp, bright garnet in color, stemmy nose with strawberry/cranberry aroma which I adore a lot, a personal preference. Quite concentrated on palate, good acidity with mild sweet fruits and oak, tannin evolving and quite approachable. Hint of hawthorn and the acidity renders the wine very enjoyable im a perfect harmony. Definitely punching above its weight as a premium cru. Entering drinking window.

Pnp, light straw yellow in color. Perfumed aroma of yellow fruits, so strong that there is no trace of oak until one tasted on palate where a perfect balance of fruit acidity, oak tannin all evolved into a perfectly balanced sensation. Not a single hint of fatness but all finesse, in impeccable drinking window now. Bravo !!

Pnp with a pale yellow tint. Slightly reductive nose of burnt rubber that waft off after a while, creamy yellow fruits aroma with mineral stink. Almost bitter and flinty on palate, good concentration, salty and minerality fill the mouth, with good citrus fruits as balance. Good length and yhere is room to evolve.

Pnp, color is bright garnet, in line with aroma of just ripen red fruits, hint of fresh acidity, trace of hawthorne, extremely lovely. On palate, slightly grippy dusty tannin gives way in no time to a plethora of red fruits, hint of stem, little trace of oak. Everything is in great balance, long finish despite the decepting medium mouth feel. A perfect elegant example of CdlR!

Pnp, bright red with stemmy nose akin to Dugat Py, but here we have more red fruits aroma. More oak spice on palate, but there is ample concentrated juice as well as a hint of floral element that made this wine elegant. Ever so slight dusty tannin with sweetness and acidity which are finely balanced. In the league of power without weight and a medium finish.

Sweet and concentrated on palate, glad there is yhe acidity and ever so slightly dusty tann8n that provided a stern backbone for this big wine. Aa though sipping a great St Estephe. Lomg and slightly oaky finish, plenty of life ahead.

From magnum, bright ruby in color, strawberry, earth and hint of floral elements. Medium concentration on palate, but everything is so balanced, sweetness, acidity, fruits aroma, and ever so slight dusty tannin, what a glimpse of Mugnier's masterworks an entry level wine could offer. I could drink this all day every day.

Bt no. 2457, clear ruby in color, loVely nose of fresh red fruits, and hint of dark fruits beneath. First sip was loose and thin. After airing in the glass, more substance on palate, fruits and spice, mild acidity blends well with fruits, tannin dusty but not as dry as 07 and provide the proper structure leading to a medium finish, wish this has more power that lingers.

Bt breathed for an hour, color is murky garnet, aroma of tea, dried leaves, hint of floral and typical of aged Bourgogne. From owc, medium garnet and initially some burnt rubbish with fruits aroma and oak. After some airing in the glass, a plethora of cherry, hawthorne and earth emerge. Medium concentration on palate, more finesse than power, but in a finely balanced feminine fashion. Mild sweet fruit with good acidity provide the structure of a GC. Tannin almost resolved, with a lingering long fruity finish.

Pnp, dark ruby at this age for a village level wine reflect the concentration one can expect. Nose is more evolved, matured autumn earth, dark fruits and minerals. Typical stemmy aroma on palate from Dugat Py, refreshing acidity blends well with sufficuently concentrated fruits and reminiscent of tannin, almost a premier cru wine's standard. From mid palate the wine revealed ita age where hawthorne and other secondary aroma take over. Medium finish but one will want another sip and yet another...

Pnp and slowly breathed, color is deep dark red, fruit bomb out of the glass, and equally strong is the oak at the lower level of the glass when one sniff hard. Superb balance on palate, rich in every dimension, fruit sweetness, acidity, hint of minerals and a sense of saltiness (umami?). Tannin is velvet and only ever so slightly felt from after taste, if oak is more resolved, this will be a 5-star, mraning it will need more time in the cellar, hold back and wait.
