The cork crumbled like the Aussie middle order on a seaming pitch. The wine was terrific though. It smelt of freshly polished boot leather, sage, spruce and briary fruits. In the mouth it was fresh with plenty of savoury nuance and good detail. It was only mid-weight but a delicious' Lunch Bag' that made for an outstanding luncheon claret.

This is the only '67 Bordeaux I have tried. The label was weathered, but the fill and color good. The cork was soaked, but removed in one piece. This wine was in reasonable shape for an off year and still has a fairly good spine. The nose is not the freshest and it has some off notes, but was earthy and a bit like old barolo. Not exactly good, but drinkable.

I was reminded yesterday that the previous friday I had drunk this bottle and yet not tracked it.
This bottle, simply put, was amazing. It tasted like awesome Worchester sauce. Wish I would have had some food to pair with it.
2020 - a wild year including two 1967 Lynch Bages!

Darn that's delicious as well. With some green mint.

Fully mature and on the way down; earthy damp nose; light fruit with some cedar and light rusty water; abrupt finish.
