Medium gold hue with an insane nose of sautéed wild mushrooms and Stilton cheese followed by lighter aromas of tropical fruit and sea spray. 40+ years old and still tons of definition on the palate, both rich and light on its feet, with a nutty characteristic followed by a soft citrus note on the finish. An absolutely treat to taste.

Straw, sea salt, seashell and consummate. Palate opened up in the glass with stone fruit and petrol. It still had lots of freshness for almost 40 year old wine.

1980 is said to be the first vintage of biodynamic vintage for Nicolas Joly, and Coulée de Serrant is said the be the finest. I was amazed by this aged chenin blanc. It presented light to medium yellow color. Tasted blind, on the nose, it was full of herbs, seasalt, roasted leafs, and light tropical fruits, very Loire characteristics, I thought it was Cotat's wine (which I love dearly). On the palate, it was full of energy, I wouldn't image it is a wine of more than 35 years. Herbal tea, yellow and stony fruits, and complex flavour with finish of sea salt. It was a pleasant and rare wine to enjoy. The wine was probably performed at its finest stage.

Nose was lovely with petrol, tropical fruit and coffee beans. Palate was over the peak with faded fruit but the intoxicating old chenin blanc nose was captivating

During a blind tasting dinner. This was affected by TCA. Otherwise the wine showed fresh with good mid mouth palate and crisp acidity. NR
