Aerated and decanted for one hour. After a couple of disappointing bottles of Silver Oak, this was much better. Big cab with dark fruit and spice. Initially the tannin was too strong and a bit closed, but after another half hour really opened up.
At Silver Oak this morning, today the wine shows improved development over the taste three weeks ago, with rich, black cherry fruit, bell pepper, and dusty earth on the nose, more of the same on the palate, big body, very tasty, this morning it tastes delicious, still 3 years away from being it's best, really showed well today, and a long finish.
