Terrible fill. Cork soaked all the way through and black but was extracted in one piece. Reddish brown. Still fruit present with interesting leather on the finish. Clearly old but drinkable. Not close to an 85 drunk last year with much better fill. Bottles not vintages at this age.

This bottle was better than other bottles I've had. Firstly it was drinking really well for its age, and this bottle would have lasted several years longer. Secondly I've been drinking Musars recently and I was struck by the similarity. Both have a chocolatey taste and a muddiness that I doubt I would like in other wines, but seems good and familiar here. Other flavors were coffee, plum and tobacco.

Plums and cherries. Blended in tannin and nice acidity. Drinking amazingly well for its age. The fruit is still loaded and this wine has more time left. Not particularly complicated.

This is one of those wines that you can just sit and sniff for a looong time. Leather, tobacco and dark red fruit on the nose. In the mouth this beautiful wine is integrated, with the tannins totally subsumed. The fruit is still there, cherry and cassis. A long finish. It reminds me of an aged Lopez de Heredia. I just bought this at auction for a great low price. I love these wines that aren't 'hot' but delicious.

(Domaine Tempier Bandol Cuvée Spéciale La Migoua) Group's #2 (my #3) – 65 pts.; 5, 3, 6, 0 - stinky, Mourvedre, tart red berry, weedy, tobacco nose with a touch of TCA; quite mature, tart red berry, mineral, herbal palate; medium-plus finish (nowhere near as good as a bottle I had last year)
