  7th of 12, opened 2 hours, perfect cork and level, consistently attractive, nicely nuanced carrying its alcoholic heft well, hard to see much upside now, but no rush, these Bandols however age and continue to gain layering and nuance much longer than one might imagine. F+ (18).

  Medium weight red, dark core.
  Deep intense red and dark berries, fragrant florals, tar, licorice, bright perfume.
  Fleshy, silky, lovely balance, long finish. Darker berries, hints of earth, iron filings, tar, graphite, but always with a red currant sweet core. Delicious. Tannins have presence, leaving a mouth coating feeling, intends a long life. Great drinking.

  Beautiful tertiary flavors of sweet candied fruit (which I affectionately associate with mature wine), mint and eucalyptus, and earth. Mature, but not old, as there is still some freshness. Finishes long. Does not blow you away, but really quite good.
