  This deep ruby wine offers an impressive payload of Bing cherry and red currant fruit that is accented with notes of pickling spice, tobacco, crushed rocks and loamy earth. Medium-bodied, minimally oaked and with well-integrated alcohol, it wraps its flavors with fine-grained tannins, stays solid in the middle and finishes with good length. Serially tasted over a 3-4 hour interval from a bottle that had been popped and poured, this is a wine that requires a minimum aeration time of 90 minutes. Drink now-2035.

  이태리 와인 그만 사야지 하면서 나도 모르게 결제하고 있던 와인.
  먹고 나서는 이 가격에 이런 맛이 나오니 이태리 와인을 못 끊지 싶었던 와인.
  그럼에도 불구하고 전형적인 맛이다보니 이제 정말 이태리 와인 그만 사야지.
  
  노즈에서는 붉은 과실의 향기가 인상적이다.
  요새 붉은 과실이라고 퉁치지 않고 과일의 종류를 구별하려고 하는데 체리에 좀 가깝지 않나 싶다.
  그리고 민트 계열의 향기가 있어서 코가 확 싸해지는 느낌이 있다.
  
  입에서는 적절한 산도가 있어서 음식이 당기는 편이다.
  그렇다고 해서 삼겹살같이 향이 센 음식이 어울리는 건 아닌것 같고 오일 파스타와 곁들이면 어떨까 싶다.
  아주 약간 싸르르한 맛이 있어서 조금 매운듯한 느낌도 있다.

  Way too much wood.....I mean "wow" wood. And I'm not going the "give it time" thing when they over oak wine like this. Not an ounce of Sangiovese character here. So much wood and so little fruit. From the great Basement Tapes of Dylan and The Band: "Too much of nothing."

  Dark reddish garnet in color. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe red fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & plums with overtones of floral notes of roses & earthy/dusty notes with minerals, tea, spices & a hint of cedar in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of sour cherries, boysenberries & pomegranate with herbs, earthy, minerals, spices & a touch of oak/vanilla. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but has the potential for further development with additional aging at which time it should score even higher (92+). IMHO, it is not objectively possible for this wine only merit a mere "75" unless it was on off bottle.

  Coravin pour. This wine is a medium to dark translucent garnet color. The nose has some oak derived notes like vanilla and cedar but also bright red and some darker berry notes. Labeled 14% ABV. Palate has tart cherry, boysenberry and pomegranate fruit flavors mixed with a decent amount of tannin but only moderate acidity. There is some earthy, sweet spice and woody notes as well. Finish is moderately long. This certainly can stand some time in the cellar but I don’t think a lot due to the rather modest acid structure.
