Very deep ruby red, tight nose of blackberries and cherries and some oak. Nice texture, tight tannins and acidity. This has a long road ahead. Not showing a lot even after some time in the glass, but all the stuff is there. Will let the other bottles sleep some more.

Deep ruby red, still purplish on the edges, nice nose of currants and red fruits, still surprisingly tight, nice acidity and tannins. Started to show better after some time in the glass. No rush to drink if you have some left. Hold for a few more years.

Deep ruby red, almost opaque. Nice nose of blackberries, ripe plums, and a nice smokiness. Great mouthfeel with nice texture of well integrated tannins. This was popped and poured, it is ready to go but there's no rush. Solid wine that paired well with the best gumbo I ever had.

Nice ruby red, with medium legs. Very concentrated nose of raspberries, blackberries and kirsh. Nice body and texture, slightly short on the mid palate. Over all well balanced, but it had some heat on it at first that muted down after 30-45 minutes in the decanter. Acidity and tannins in check. Approchable now with plenty of life ahead.

Ruby Red with some bricking on the edges. Again strait from the cellar, took 30 minutes to come around. Nice nose of cassis, flowers ans spices. Nice smooth texture, tannins have resolved. This is drinking well but IMO is not going to improve any more. Drink before it goes down the slope. Nice medium length finish.

Dark ruby red, still purplish on the edge. Coming strait from the cellar, the nose was rather muted, after about 30 minutes the nose came alive with blackberries, some oak and sweet cherries. Much of the same on the palate with nice texture, the tannins were fine and starting to integrate as is the acidity. Very nice showing of this bottle, and beginning its life of the drinking well stage. Medium-plus length finish.

Beautiful golden yellow, clear rim. Enchanting nose of Honey bee wax, apricots, pineapples, coconuts. Simply great mouth-feel only D'Yquem can get right. No part of this wine was out of place. This was just stunning in aromas, texture and finish. And the finish just didn't... It's nice to have good friends to share these pleasures with.

OK, this is simply a stunning wine. Deep ruby red with a clear edge. Nose that just is truly enchanting; fresh cigars, wet earth on a rainny day, espresso, dark chocolate and all this while I nursed and care for my glass over a period of three hours. I just did not want to finish this wine. And the finish also just did not want to stop, well over two minutes long with nice retro's of chocolate fruits and coffee. The texture was almost flawless hence the 99 points and not 100. But this is the best red wine I have had the pleasure of tasting. the company and this wine made the night spectacular. Thanks!
