3/7/24, 4:11 PM - Would love to see your notes.
4/7/23, 4:14 PM - Thanks for your tn. Did you decant? How and how long please.
4/8/23, 11:20 AM - Thank you!
4/7/23, 4:16 PM - Thank you for your tasting note. Can you provide us with some decanting information?
4/7/23, 7:40 PM - Sounds great. I am opening a bottle tomorrow. Thanks.
4/7/23, 4:15 PM - Thank you for your tasting note. Can you give me some information about the Canton?
2/18/23, 10:46 AM - Can you please share decanting experience.
2/18/23, 9:01 PM - I am so sorry I missed it. I opened one tonight and decanted for few hours. I think it was a mistake as after few hours it shut down but kept the forward tannins. I still have few bottles the next one I will only decant for 1 hour and drink it slowly. Thanks for your response.
5/2/22, 8:15 PM - This is meant to be a personal note and not a tasting note. Wrong place. Many have made same mistake before so it's ok.
4/23/22, 12:20 PM - Thanks for the tasting note. Any decanting required? If so how long?
4/4/21, 7:44 AM - Could it be a bad bottle? This is an amazing wine!
3/10/21, 9:16 PM - Thanks for sharing your experience. Any suggestions on when to open the bottle and decanting?
3/11/21, 5:45 AM - Thanks I am looking forward to opening one of the three bottles.
8/24/20, 8:23 AM - What was the other bottle that you are in love with. Thank you.
7/9/20, 2:51 PM - Mark, God forbid that happens to you but if you start having difficulty breathing don't touch this bottle as it would be late to enjoy it as your smell and taste will also be effected. Just beat the virus and wait 5 more years.
5/25/20, 12:14 PM - Thank you for your note. What better experiences for less price do you suggest?
5/25/20, 1:20 PM - I will check your tasting notes. Thank you very much and cheers!
2/8/20, 2:02 PM - Thank you for the tasting note. Do you recommend decanting?
9/29/19, 7:16 AM - Thanks for the tasting note. Should I age my 3 bottles or drink?
9/29/19, 4:05 PM - Thanks! I will do that! Cheers!
7/12/19, 10:27 PM - Thank you for the tasting noteWhat others that are more affordable that come close in taste?
6/19/19, 3:51 PM - Thanks for your tasting note. If one was to open a bottle now do you have any suggestions in regards to decanting.
7/2/19, 1:09 PM - Thank you.
6/4/19, 5:13 AM - Agreed with Federico. I purchased this wine for $190 per bottle. First Growth Bordeaux average cost is $800! Not sure how one can compare the two. Precise note about the wine though.
6/17/19, 9:31 AM - All in all it does not compare to first growth Bordeaux but what does(minus Burgundy).
6/17/19, 9:29 AM - Hello Dave. I have been buying lot of 2000 and 2003 Bordeaux because they are starting to drink well. On the other hand some experts are into young wine in a way they enjoy the wine beyond the tannin. You just have to drink the young wine at cooler temperatures so it won't bite as much and enjoy the structure and the finish. To enjoy full maturity one has to wait at least 10 years. My friend Eric Jensen who is the founder of Booker wine out of Paso Robles told me that he does not believe in aging wine. If wine is made well it is ready to be drank right away. I think the key is to become familiar with a particular young wine and not to decant it rather drink it slowly out of the glass and see how it develops and base on your finding then you decide whether to decant or not for the next bottles.
6/2/19, 12:01 PM - 77 points!! Oh my God I would give that score to a decent vinegar!
4/30/19, 1:32 PM - Hi Which Harlan. What year? Thanks.
4/27/19, 11:38 AM - Really delicious. Could smell this for hours and you give it 86!!!I only cook with 86 points wine.
4/27/19, 1:29 PM - Makes sense now :) Thanks and your daughter will have a good bottle one day! Cheers.
4/9/19, 10:02 AM - Thank you for a fantastic tasting note. You gave it a 3 for maturity. If I wanted to open a bottle now what do you recommend regarding decanting the bottle. How and for how long? Thanks.
4/16/19, 8:02 PM - Great. Thank you!
4/16/19, 7:50 PM - Did you air it out? If so how and for how long. Thank you.
2/27/19, 4:33 AM - Hi. Did you decant and if so how and for how long? Thanks.
4/15/19, 7:30 PM - Thanks.
4/15/19, 6:01 AM - I am glad I have one bottle and sad I don't have more since I read your note. Did you decant the bottle and if so how and for how long. Thank you.
4/15/19, 5:56 AM - Great note. Did you stand the bottle since September when you took it out of the wine chamber or lay it down? How about decanting before drinking? Thank you.
4/9/19, 10:52 AM - But 80 points!!! That's what grade you give vinegar!! Come on dude!! You just messed up the real average on this bottle!! Please leave cellartracker or learn before you play.
3/31/19, 8:20 PM - Great tasting note thank you. I have few magnums should I open one now? How about decanting?
4/9/19, 5:49 AM - Thank you Collector1855.
4/8/19, 9:15 PM - Do you think it's going through the dumb phase? Where the wine shuts down.
2/17/19, 9:01 AM - Thanks Jeff for the TN. I love the 2000 Margaux but it's almost double the price of the 2003 vintage. How does it compare to the 2000? Is the 2003 in in the beginning of its drinking window?
4/7/19, 6:12 AM - Thank you and I did go to your site which I enjoy very much.
4/4/19, 11:05 AM - Fantastic review thank you. Did you decant the bottle and if so how and how long.
4/1/19, 11:44 AM - Did you close the bottle back up for the next day?
3/26/19, 5:54 AM - What's a "strong F"? Thank you.
3/19/19, 9:11 PM - Any decanting instructions? Thanks.
3/8/19, 4:43 PM - Hi and thanks for your tasting notes of this Booker Syrah. I am always looking for good value wine. What Syrah you liked better for less price?
3/16/19, 11:00 PM - Thank you!
3/3/19, 6:19 PM - Hello sir. 90 points for 2000 Château Margaux? I am thinking it's an error.
3/6/19, 5:49 AM - Stounberg, if you go to his tasting notes which are over 1,000 and sort by ratings you'll see that he has give hundred Acre a perfect score and 2000 Château Pavie a 98 points. 2000 Château Margaux is the best wine I've tasted thus far and I am sure his score of 90 points is an error especially that he wrote "too bad I don't have another bottle"!
2/27/19, 4:54 AM - Hi. Did you decant? If so for how long and how? Thanks.
3/5/19, 8:41 AM - Thank you and cheers!
3/3/19, 10:46 AM - Thank you for your TN. Did you decant? If so how and for how long?
3/3/19, 11:35 AM - Thank you for replying. Cooler temperature is recommended by many for young wine. Cheers.
2/25/19, 3:57 AM - Mark Robert Parker gave it a whopping 96 points!
2/15/19, 6:15 AM - Hello Tom. Thanks for the tasting note. Can you tell us whether you decanted the bottle and if so how and for how long? Also are you suggesting to drink now or is it better to wait.
2/23/19, 11:15 AM - No worries I do the same with my writings... Thanks.
2/18/19, 7:06 PM - Hi. Shouldn't a superb bottle score more than 92!!
2/4/19, 7:06 PM - I am fortunate enough to have few more bottles. I tried one last year and it was everything Jeff wrote. Go ahead and open it but decant it for couple of hours and drink it over the following few hours and enjoy!
1/23/19, 6:20 AM - Hello Ben. Thanks for all your helpful tasting notes. What's a great red you've had lately for under $100.
11/28/18, 6:01 AM - 94 points! I drank two bottles thus far and I gave it 99 both times. Only reason I didn't give it 100 in case I ever had something better.
12/20/18, 11:44 AM - Mark1npt thanks for your comment. I understand that there is also bottle variations due to many reasons one being storage and handling. I tend to agree with Jeff Leve on this amazing juice. I just don't see how wine could be better. The layers of characteristics and aromas. The structure! The complexity! The balance! The finish the coats the mouth for more than one minute!! Again I don't see how wine could be better.
1/2/19, 12:39 PM - Cheers Mark! Good luck with your new wine room that's very exciting.
1/2/19, 3:41 PM - I am 59 today and I intend to follow your plan!! Enjoy, peace and cheers!
11/27/18, 7:34 AM - Hi I am a bit confused with tasting note. Your words lead me to believe that you enjoyed and liked the wine but your score of 75 means it is a horrible wine! Did you punch the wrong number on your keyboard?
11/20/18, 5:14 AM - Did you try and decant it? If so for how long?
11/20/18, 8:20 PM - Probably bottle variation!
11/19/18, 10:53 PM - Hi did you decant the bottle? How and for how long? Thank you.
11/20/18, 9:12 AM - Thank you and happy thanks giving. Cheers.
11/19/18, 9:36 PM - Thanks for your TN. I only have one bottle when do you suggest I drink it based on your experience.
11/20/18, 6:02 AM - Thank you!
11/18/18, 2:33 PM - Sorry but was it flawed or was it enjoyable! The two don't coexist.
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
