left over from last night dinner. very ready for drinking now. Yellow fruits, stone fruits, tropical fruits, honey, little toast. On palate, it's very mouth coating, broad, big, and powerful. very creamy. still has good acidity.

The best Montrachet I've had from the Domaine. The bit of flint on the nose and on the front of the palate gave the wine the sense of a seared edged croissant: all of the goodness of the char with all of the richness immediately following. Incredibly delicious. So glad I had two glasses!

Almost the polar opposite of the 99 version tasted a month ago. This 97 was rich and honeyed with plenty of acidic lift and a tremendous oily persistent length. There was an interesting hint of almond and lightly toasted nut quality. Good right out of the gate but it did not develop much more. It held its plateau of deliciousness for the full 3 hours. In contrast the 99 was shy until 2 hours later when it became more elegant and charming.
I finally understand DRC Monty with this wine.
A wow wine.

Lightly floral aromatics. Serious, penetrating palate, depth of fruit. (00702/2644)

DRC Montrachet. February 2019.: Similar to last time we had this, punched above its weight and very enjoyable. I liked it better than the consensus.
