Just finished my last bottle of this soft warm berry / cherry with hint of smoke. This is a great wine but certainly at its end..... Thankful I opened to enjoy the last bit of life in the bottle. Cheers

Penultimate of 6 bottles, last tasted 15 months ago. The wine was paired with a beautiful, medium rare, slow roasted beef tenderloin, and enjoyed over Christmas lunch with our entire family. Notes of cassis, wet tobacco leaf, graphite, wet soil, blackberry pie, and plum skin. The wine is medium in body, with resolved tannins and perfectly balanced acidity, keeping the finish on this mature Bordeaux beautifully tight and reeled in. Very nice, as it has been on the past few occasions. Drink through 2023+.

Fresh nose with citrus scents and hints of mocha, the palate is tasty, pure and fresh, for some reason I find difficult pinpoint the elements in more detail, citric lavender, chocolate, light mocha flauvors, leather and wet soil come mind, tannins are tamed and together with the fresh acidity this is a balanced experience, definitely not over-extracted the way this (apparently) was in its youth, all in all very enjoyable now and has years left in it.
