Classic midweight Barolo with lifted aromatics in the vein of the best 2017s with drying tannins that demand time. Sweet cherry and leather. Iron on the palate.

Festa del Piemonte: Master Class & Lunch (The Pool/Grill): Big structure again and yet very fruity, more peppery, bigger tannins. The whole wine is a bit extra and yet as it all comes together its balanced and so it seems to work.

Much more brooding and earthier than the Mosconi, not nearly as prettily perfumed. Rugged. Fruit more tightly wound though a lovely herbal complexity develops in the glass; great weight here, rich but has a great fresh streak. Great tannins again, really lovely build.
