Drinking well, still needs more time in cellar. Tannins are starting to settle down but still have a fair amount of punch. Not as full bodied as other vintages, defiantly closer to mid. Typical Burrowing owl nose, with toasted oak and graphite.

this arnt my notes, but they fit the bill so close i am resuing them. Drinking great and will only get better i believe

"On the palate, the Krug style seems obvious to me: creamy mouthfeel, fine integrated woodiness, diffuse oxidative notes, everything blends into a rich and coherent whole. The juice is solar, the wine is demonstrative and clearly at its peak. The aromas of praline and mushrooms are powerful, on a bed of black fruits. It is complex and broad, with a very fine bubble. Intense finish, almost tannic over a long length."

Drinking well, but wont get any better, drink now. Starting to taper off into more tertiary flavours. Was very surprised how much cherry its showing. Aromatics still strong, oak, red fruit, and plum. Tannis have all calmed down, but too much given its only 13. Good wine but not impressed with the trend its ageing on. I believe it will start to fall apart in 5 years but only time will tell or maybe it has a rebirth.

Drinking great, it has developed well, most of the acid has dropped off but it isnt flat. Still has a backbone. Red and Black fruits. Perfectly integrated French oak. This is by far the best Cab Blend coming out of the Okanagan or Canada for that matter. Still has ageing potential, but will be moving to a more mature position. Drinking exceptionally now, but could probably go another 10 years. I've been testing the limits of BC ageing potential and OL has some of the best in Canada.

Great! you must let this decant for a few hours, it really opens up over time. I would suggest at least three hours or more. Once opened up displays all the notes of an expensive Amarone at a discounted price. Drank 8 bottles of this wine over covid couldn't get enough. Rich, Silky, but still with minerality. Nice and dry with lovely black fruit. Drinking well now and likely over the short term.

Drinking great. Minerality, freshness and vibrancy still there. The young edge has dropped off and nothing but crisp bubbles. Will develop more over the next 3 to 5 years.

Drinking great for its age. I over consumed this lovely beverage so the notes are minimal. Dark fruit, graphite, and oak. On the nose was lovely, still having some primary fruit notes while delivering the classic Pamerol aged smell one expects.

This wine isn't going to get any better, drinking perfect now. It wont have to much more time in this window so consume now.

Worth trying if you get the chance.

The wine, was good, that is the best I can say. After buying from Vineyard on release and waiting almost 8 years to drink I was underwhelmed. BM Chardonnay is my favorite one out there, but seeing the liner development of this wine over the year makes me reconsider ageing it. I think moving forward I will consume when wanting rather than storing.

Wine had the same flavour profile as the day it was released, with just slightly less acidity. Minerality, and that clean partially oak flavour BM is known for. Light body, good hang time on the tongue. Floral and light oak notes.

Wow! where to start, I opened this wine and expected it to be past its prime, flattening out and lacking acidity. I was happily wrong. The wine is still so vibrant, young and its like the years did little to influence it. Still has strong minerality, fruit forward but no a hint of sweetness. Cuts dry across the tounge and leaves a clean mineral finish that lingers. On the nose, still youthful but the riper fruits are starting to take shape, mellon, pear, with a touch of peach or nectarine. There is still some acid left, but its at a beautiful point, enough to keep it fresh but nothing intense of tight.

I would say this wine has at least 5 more years of ageing left. Just coming into its prime now. Drink slowly over the next few years.

Great wine, still going strong. Has a few more years left till secondary flavor development. Little bit of acid left, strong fruit and oak. No vibrancy lost yet but getting ready to wind down. Drink now not going to get any better. My tasting note is minimal because I over enjoyed the wine :)!

Drinking beautifully, almost young like she is three years old. On the nose, black cherries, raspberries, and beautiful medium toasted new and 2/3 second fill French oak. On the pallet, still has an acid backbone but no young acid left; matured. Plenty of minerality and complexity. black fruit notes, with black raspberries, silky and smooth. After taste, is mineral with a dryness and a rich tongue feel. Drinking in its prime, but will age for a good more years before taking on its secondary notes. I wish i had another bottle to tuck away for another 5 years to reassess. Assuming it would still stand strong and vibrant but would develop more femininity and delicacy. Rivaling top houses of Burgundy with an American twist.

I am not much for in depth tasting notes, but this thought i would add one given the lack of updates on this wine as it ages. Assuming everyone drank theirs as it was so lovely. Bought from winery, stored all these years in my wine fridge. This wine is coming into its prime, its still strong well integrated, and full of flavour. Tannins are well rounded with some power left on the tongue, black cheeries, dark red fruit, plum, almost raasin, dates, oak, medium depth, full mothfeel, still packing the classic BC wine acide back, although tamed over the years. a great balance and why i say its just coming into its prime. Likely can rest another 5 years. Nose has wood, brown sugar, currents, with a grass note. Drinking wonderfully, drink up or hold for a few more year. A great burrowing owl, wines like this are what more people internationally need to try as the industry matures.

Good Guard Larose. Lots of life left.

Graphite, black fruits, and tar. Notes of currents, blackberries, ever so slight hint of blue fruits, and good old French oak. Good complexity, and minerality that you would expect from a label of this stature.

Drink now or let evolve for a few more years.

dark red fruit, firm tannins but starting to settle down, concentrated, still many years left, would recommended further aging maybe 10 more years. Medium acidity, on the nose black cherries, black currant, raspberries, a touch of oak.

I was excited to try this wine after a few years resting in the cellar, however i found that the wine had started its decline. It must have reached its height back in 2018, and begun to fall apart after that. Acidity was completely gone, tannins were flat, flavours of plum, dark chocolate, cherry, chassis, however still with a hint of unripe fruit. The wine at this point had the classic cold growing region purity, with little fading strength, much like a young wet vintage wine at this point. Nose was unmistakably Burrowing owl, chard french oak, grass, dark fruit. Overall i was expecting more after years of proper cellering, if you got em drink them now before it gets worse.

past its prime. Drink now. Disappointed with quality of the wine after these amount of years. Still a good wine, but expected to age longer. Acid still present, with slight nuances of green fruit. Body is now medium. Black current, black cherry, plum. On the nose oak, white pepper, and cherry.

black cherry, chassis, blackberry, grass on the front pallet, a touch of acidity still. tannins are ripe. slight oak, with a refreshing crisp cold climate, granite, grass on the nose.

Drinking well now, or wait 2 to 3 more years to drop that last but of acid.

Garnet in colour, medium legs, light sediment.

Dark fruit galour, full bodied, perfect acid balance. Notes of dark fruit and raspberry, oak, and so much more.

Awsome BC wine. Dark in colour, bold, full bodied with good acidity remaining. Could use couple more years resting.

This wine is drinking well now, makes your nose and mouth crave more! acidity isn't too.

this wine was good. however there is a slight tannin problem it seems like there is still green left. my assumption is that one of the grapes was not fully ripened for this blend. the wine unfolds beautifully in the decanter, with dark, intense fruit. But there is still that linger of un-ripness in the background that brings this wine down. Maybe a year or two more cellaring will help. Drinking well now. does open up a little with time in the decanter tho, mind you very little.

Great wine! flavors have really rounded out, the toasted oak has incorporated well into the aged product.Drinking well now. However i left half the bottle over night and was pleasantly surprised. Leads me to believe this thing might have a few years left in it. Tannis still are nicely together, with no green; which is why i say its drinking well now. But the fruit really came forward the next day. try for yourself. A classic Hesters Merlot, good job guys!

good deep purple, what one would expect from a aussi Shiraz, loads of dark fruit, and surprisingly amount of acidity left after all these years of cellaring. Drink now, starting to head downward, i doubt it will get any better with more age.

rather unimpressed with this vintage... it is just a little young and could benefit from another 6 months to a year of ageing. The pinot noir dominated rose does not hold up well, rather it tastes more like a Chardonnay dominated brut. dont get me wrong this still is an excellent rose for BC, but i think they could have done a better job bringing out the pinot noir flavour.
smells of cream and strawberry
