Beautiful nose, makes you want to live in it. Sultry red fruits, delicate florals, cool earth, and dried spices. Still super approachable on the palate-- soft, silky, and balanced.

Opened in HK. Slow-oxed for a few hours before enjoying.
Consistent with my previous bottle - perhaps ever so slightly better. This is a bit sweeter than the Vosne wines, but lacks the spice and depth. Also takes a bit more time to open up, as I feel the tannins are slightly rougher here. Still, DRC is DRC - this was a beautiful Burgundy full of the characteristics that you'd expect from the Domaine.
I see upside here - would revisit in 3+ years, I think things will soften up a bit and there will be more to give. As always, thanks to D & V for sharing!

Fantastic old world style burgundy. Medium garnet color. Medium alcohol. Lavendar, wood and lilac scents. Medium + tannin still could use some time to soften a bit more. Black fruit, Blood orange, minerality and rose hips on the long finish. My first DRC 94+

La Paulée de Los Angeles Gala Dinner (The Fairmont - Santa Monica CA): Small glass. Equal black and red fruits, drinking well now, showcasing engaging baking spice.

The raw material here is massive and massively impressive, but this is also massively young. Dense and coiled and structured.
