  The bottle was shared on the second day by a good friend. I have given it 99 point instead of 100 because its still youthful. 2019 is an excellent and elegant vintage. This will just get better with time. Pronounced nose intensity with notes of flora, violet, red and black fruits, mint, spices. Medium+ acidity and medium tannin. Second DRC for 2024! Special treat for Chinese New Year.

  Spectacular young drc off a restaurant wine list. Based on CT notes I thought this is one of the more attractive young DRCs and the comments were right. The stems come through and make this a fairly complex and fun young wine. Tannins so tender and smooth, not really disturbing the experience.

  A private dinner (Restaurant Waldhotel Sonnora ***, Wittlich/Dreis, Germany): Bottle No 02334 from from 10,453 bottles produced. Not decanted, to witness the awakening of the young wine. Absolutely marvellous. So powerful and yet so elegant, the juiciest cherries and cloves and orange zest, ripe strawberries and raspberries, violets and roses, firm tannins covered in flesh, perfectly balanced and harmonious, rich and complete yet with cool minerality at its core, the oak is just visible, extremely long and beautifully layered finish. Best DRC Échézeaux ever? Star quality, everything in the right place, like a perfectly assembled and arranged bouquet of flowers, long life. Drink now or wait 15 years.

  PnP and enjoyed over 6 hours. Absolutely mesmerizing wine. The nose was electric and kept changing over the afternoon. The palate was tighter but opened up and the wine was weightless and combined so beautifully with the food on offer. A pleasure (one that I wish to replicate many times in the future).
