My second bottle with consistent notes. Drank over thanksgiving dinner. The nose explodes from the glass with its dried flowers and rose petal aromas. We did not decant the wine. However, the nose changes and becomes less expressive with time in the glass but each subsequent pour from the bottle renews the aromas. Not a lot of mid palate sap and density, but it has s beautiful lingering finish that stays with you. This has the structure to last for at least another 3-5 years.
Classic nose. Nice spice but really tannic and hard as with lots of 88s. One of the better examples of this wine I have encountered but came across as rather charmless next to the 85 Vogue BM and 90 Dujac CdR.
Was the wine of the evening among the reds consumed at a dinner along with an '05 Meo-Camuzet Ech Rouge du Bas and '03 Dugat-Py Charmes-Chambertin. Beautiful aromas of rose petals or dried roses (just a hint) and long lingering finish that last for 30-45 seconds.

(DRC Echezeaux) had a dirty, stinky nose at first but rich rose, beef and sturdy wood right behind. It was quite edgy with its wood and cedar qualities, and there were nicer aromas of iron and stem. The palate was rich, rusty and tannic (did someone say '88?), a classic '88 that is youthful and large. There were sawdust, earth and tobacco flavors, but overall the wine was a bit aggressive in its wood, and its wood became green
